I quite like the new minis, but why do terminators’ leg seem to be getting further and further apart?
Darrell you got to show us each of the basses that are in that plastic bag, cool termies though in my opinion the best thing to come out in this Grey knight release.
The next day I am doing an unboxing I will show you all the bases. Some people think that all GW bases are the same but if you study them carefully for a few hours you will see the differences.
I may even name them would you want that?
I’d like to see a whole movie dedicated just to spotting the many differences ;]
naming them would be awesome, it would add to there individuality.
The newer bases are numbered on the bottom aren’t they?
The black base’s are all we watch your “out of the box” videos for Darrell!
Also a video for wound allocation would be helpful.
Cheers.
ooo, cool bases. Are they a new sculpt or the same as the ones found for example in regular SM terminator or Tyranid Warriors/Raveners box.
Love the GK termies too. Maybe I will buy a box just for painting up and putting on the shelf.
The Justicar guy’s rule (which keeps him alive) is like BT Chaplain Grimaldus’ rule ‘only in death, does duty end’ but Grimaldus’ is on a 3+ i think.
Paladins only go up to 5 men, unfortunately. You can get 10 standard terminators, but wound allocation doesn’t matter nearly as much when you only have one wound.
Not sure where you’re reading that. The codex says 1 Paladin makes a unit, and you can purchase up to 9 more = expensive paladins
Yeah, I was just downright wrong. Paladins can go up to 10 men.
Darrel, I completely agree that the Paladins are amazing
However, Thrawn comes equipped with a Halbard. Nothing stopping you from putting a Hammer in the unit, but you can’t upgrade a character.
And please do that wound allocation video, I’d like to be sure of the rules there
If I may, I’ll try to explain the wound allocation thing: The rule states that wounds must be allocated evenly throught the unit, no matter what Str or AP they’ve got. i.e.1: 4 marines + flamer get 4 bolter wounds + 2 plasma wounds. -> to minimize the efect of the plasma guns you would allocate wounds in the following order: 1st: every miniature gets a wound, you decide 1 plasma wound is given to the flamer guy, and the 4 regular guys get 4 bolters wounds, so now everyone has one wound allocated. 2nd: you still have wounds to… Read more »
Love it! Nice models, lotsa bits. I’m definitely getting one to paint up and probably a few more just for those bases.
Falchions get better, say on a normal terminator 2A base, +1 from the falchions, +1 paired special weapon, 4 attacks base 5 on the charge which on average is only .25 less wounds than a guy with a pair of lighting claws, and that is without the using hammerhead.
A video for wound allocation would be great thanks Darrel.
they are very high points wise but arr well i still gona get some
god they look awesome but thwn I when to my warstore they were $87 fir 5.
Darrell, you should make a “What’s in the Box” video for GW’s square and round base sets.
I vote for a wound allocation vid as well.
Ok Guys a video on wound allocation next week. It will be a daily tip
You could get round an 1000 pt unit of Paladins. Take 10 paladins add 4 psycannons, brotherhood banner, warding stave, 4 nemesis falchions, and an apothecary all in a land raider. (Calculates point cost) Yup I believe its a total of 1025 pts.
OOPS! I forgot that 10 paladins can’t go in a land raider so actually that would be about a 775 pt. unit.
Narthicum?
yep, the apothecary item Darrell is trying to find the name of is the narthecium.
nice models… im thinking to use this guys as my black templar termis… paint em black, and get rid of the inquisition stuff and you get some nice normal termis! ^^
Forgot the little shields for the left shoulder, a standard for all terminators…
The set isn’t bad, actually, but I would have liked to see more detail on the legs.
I believe the larger bits, shown as the 3rd sprue, are bits which can be used on vehicles.
+1 for wanting each base to get its own showing and discussion.
Thanks for the vid!
I really love how gw plastics get better and better every box
well darrell a unit of paladins can go to a massive 905 points!
10 paladins make one an apothecary give them banner, stave, 4 psycannons, magic ammo, everyone with a force sword left buys the dual wielded ones then mastercraft everything you can
