Beyond The Gates Of Antares Continues Its Journey
July 3, 2013 by brennon
Dark Space Corp and Warlord Games are continuing their journey within the world of Gates of Antares and to celebrate that you can get your hands on Hansa Nairoba to begin your collection...
Hansa was the poster boy for the Gates of Antares fundraiser when it was still in commission but now despite the pitfalls it is available to buy from Warlord for a very good price indeed. It also comes in metal and limited edition resin.
As well as that Rick Priestley has posted up an update for the game as a whole. It has now adopted the order dice system from Bolt Action and new models are going to be coming out very soon. Another set of downloadable rules will be available soon too.
I can't wait to see the evolution of this game and it was always very promising.
Will you get Hansa?

All games have promise and GoA is no exception. I hope this time around they come up with some fine concept art of what the models will look like and even better sculpts to show people that this game is serious. One model commissioned in the middle of a KS was a weak hand at the time.
Yep, one mini towards the end of its KS was never going to cut it especially when Mantic were, and are, makeing such a success of KS with plenty of stretch goals and concepts.
Ever since I started gameing again about a year or so ago Ive been hopeing GoA would make a breakout. I seriously hope Rick is successful with this game.
Looking forward to the ri-jigged rules. Bolt action system really produces tense, exciting games I’ve found, a new version with a scifi twist would be very welcome indeed.
Have they given up on KS entirely then or just leaving it till the plastics? Are they still doing plastic droids?
I was impressed by the passion and basic concept behind this game, but nothing about the aesthetics or actual presentation were compelling for me.
