Space Marines and Blood Angels are not the only people who get to do this, Orks do as well with Zagstruck and the Da’ Vulcha Boyz
This is a good tactic, but you can’t deepstrike where you did, because you measure the distance between models in ruins differently. For unit coherancy, and determining which models are engaged in an assault, you measuring the distance from the top of the lower model to the base of the higher models base, so where you deepstruck in the ruins you would have been within an inch of an enemy model and need to roll on the deepstrike mishap table. Actually he can land there- it’s hard to see from the perspective of the video, but there’s at least an inch between a marines head and a base on a level above with those ruins. One thing I would correct though, the terrain test isn’t dangerous for landing in that particular ruin- its not on a base so its lowest level is taken as being clear terrain,(page 82 ruins without bases) but they do have to take the difficult test to charge through the floor needing a 3 or more(as you need to be able to make the full distance… Read more »
Yeah I love these guys, although they can get expensive very quickly. I prefer Zagstruck though – more direct and more fun 🙂
