NOMADS – ULTIMATE DEFENSE FORCE I used Intruder as an Lieutenant because he is just Awesome. I tried to maximalize the defensive abilities of Nomad Army so I used Sin-Eater and Reaktion Zond because they are beasts in ARO. Next, I think that mines can be as usefull as troops so i used zeroes with minelayer skill to create real minefields and Lunokhod that can get anywhere with it’s Clmbing + and spread his little bears so they can give hug for everyone. And it’s taken me a weeks worth of videos to notice but Carlos is a bit of an Iberian stallion isn’t he, big fella or what? Or is Darren just a bit of a leprechaun? 😛
And by Darren I meant Andy, who’s name is right there plastered in HUGE letters. Oh dear.
The terrain is cool for a spaceship deck. Lots of lucky/unlucky rolls, though. I think the attackers will generally have a hard time. Turn one is an obvious objective hunt. Might cost a lot of orders. Turn 1 for the defender, even if the attacker manages to open the gate, can be a simple camo hunt leaving the attacker without forward deployed models on his second Turn…will have to play and see if it works for Neoterra and Ariadna/Shasvasti as attackers.
I’ve enjoyed all the infinity week videos, but these two with the game have been really good.
Great terrain , really interesting mission, and really liked seeing someone from a game manufacturer really enjoying the game he makes.
Plus, Andy won, which is always a novelty/.

Did i miss something because now that i think about i didnt notice Andy manipulate the security system console to open the evacuation hatch to let him evacuate the Prisoner?
He just ran to the evacuation hatch and dumped the prisoner in it.

I made an Imperial service attacking force, the general layout is like this.Group 1 is the command/specialist group, group 2 is the assault cadre. The Kuang shi will be controlled using link team and feed the Su Jian the ordeers it needs to be running about the battlefield, spitfiring and flaming the enemies. Thee Celestial Guard with the device handles the smoke and I chose Sun Tze as lieeutenant because he is just a tough bugger and, if you don’t need the extra SWC from the Hsien, the best option to lead an ISS army. The problem with that list is that it automatically loses as the attacker. You need something with AD or Infiltration (or Impersonation, if you’re being beardy) and hacking/FO/Chain of Command to open the doors, otherwise all 27 of your orders get sucked out of the cargo bay. As the defender, you’re automatically going second, and you have access to only one high WIP specialist (your Lt, who’s pretty vulnerable to return fire,) and 2 total, the other one being part of a sniper-oriented link team, which has zero business being in the center of the table without some serious maneuvering… Read more »

at 31.19 minutes….if Andy whould have waited and not spend 2 aro’s on the discover he would have 2 more aro’s left but you cant be sure about this? Because this is the thing with camo, it can be manipulated. Andy waisted 2 aro’s because Carlos desided to come out of camo and shoot. If Andy whould have waited, Carlos could stay in camo because there are 2 less models to do a discover role.

Yes you are right.
If Andy chose to withhold his aros encase Carlos would shoot, carlos could then instead could say move as his second short skill and nothing would have happened.
But in this case he would have said shoot no mater what Andy would do with his aros.
Choosing what to do is sometimes difficult because you dont know what the camo troop is trying to do.

No, you would have to declare what your aro is after his first uses the first movement, only time you get to declare aro after 2e move is if you didnt se the figure during the first part and the figure wasnt in your zone of control.
I say nothing happened because if andy doesnt declare aro then nobody could do anything against camo troop if he dosent do anything to reveal himself.

Well you know what they say – in Infinity it’s not the list you play, but how you play it. For the attacker, I wanted to do something fluffy, like a Hospitaller recovery force, but the Military Orders sectorial has one single infiltrator, with a “whooping” PH of 10. A no-go for this mission. It was awesome watching Carlos play. I really learned I’ve been doing some things wrong. We have been rolling separately for the direction of scatter after determining distance by the number you fail by. I also thought you didn’t move your models until after your opponent declares their ARO.
Always something new to learn about Infinity…

Hi, I have played this mission, and i have notice one importante thing, it’s an indoor mission, in a spaceship. So long range weapon are not necessary the best for this configuration. Ennemies are too close to have good bonus. HMG for exemple have +0 to 0-20 cm. Spitefire has +3 to 0-20 cm so… 🙂 And Salyut total reaction is not so different than reaktion zond for the same reason.
