Forge World Working On New Space Marine Salamanders
January 30, 2014 by brennon
Forge World have continued with their behind the scenes blog at what they have on the drawing board and this sneak peek of what could well be a Salamander appeared earlier this week...
As you can see it has the veil of scales in front of the face and the way the helmet has been ridged does look very lizard-like. It's also wearing the old school armour of the Space Marines and should make a lot of people very happy indeed.
The Salamanders are one of those rather iconic Space Marine armies with their deep green armour and scales all over the place. It will be great to see them become part of the Forge World flock.
Looking forward to them?

This is all very well and good but I cant help but feel FW are wasting their time on stuff like this when they could be working on more Death Guard stuff. They are, after all, the only chapter that matters.
I know, big deal that their primarch killed a gecko…
totally agree. anything that isn’t death guard is a complete waste of time, still waiting for a DG command squad to come out and DG heads and various other stuff to make our marines look more pre heresy DG and of course our glorious Primarch 😀
…. and their forge father was in The Omega Man.
Incorrect. The only thing that matters is the Ultramarines. Thats why 90% of space marine box art is my boys in blue. 🙂
I’d rather be a Stentch Marine that a Battle Smurf! 😉
Am I the only one looking forward to seeing what FW do with the Imperial Army?
Apparently so 😉
Apparently so… 😉
Apologies for double post :/
I would rather see more EC TS or SW than any smurfs
There’s so much to look forward to regarding the Horus Heresy franchise now, and even looking forward to their version of Adeptus Battle Sisters. There’s so much to do with just those first 4 armies released, and now there’s 8. I’d rather they didn’t just rush out all this quality stuff 🙂 Thank God that they’re not doing that.
I think its good to see them all get some love, lets people get enthusiastic about what they can do. I am hoping this will encourage a Salamanders player I know to give his army a Legion twist.
