Did someone call the grammar police?
“you’re”, not “your” BoW!! Let the grammar nazis come!
Who cares about the grammar, great vid as usual and thats all that matters
I hope that your avatar is only a joke on behalf of “grammar nazis” …if not I would consider changing that …
I ssee no reason why i sshould change it…
I do… only our default avatar of Falconhoof can save us now!
thanks
What the hell!!!???
so if your under half strength , you basically have no hope ?
See BoW? You influence other people’s minds with your mistakes! This act of heresy should not be tolerated!
no hope unless someone’s assault the unit. then you rally automaticly.(if I am not mistaken)
No, if the assaulting units is able to reach the unit, then you try to regroup. If you pass you get assaulted and fight back like normal. If you fail then the unit is destroyed and the assaulting unit doesn’t move(pg46). Ofcourse if you are space marines you automatically pass the regrouping test.
actually these Dark Eldar would not move AROUND them they would move straight through them whilst fleeing, the enemy passed his chance to do anything against them (german rulebook p.45 column 2 )
and second of all …initiative-test ? wasnt that the last edition ?
Initiative tests are on page 40(second paragraph in the first the first column in the English version) under sweeping advances.
ah ok ^^ sorry
I was chasing a lone Howling Banshees of the board with a rino and than he moved a unit in to his area that made every body fearless, he told me he could rally, I didn’t mind but was he correct in this?
Yep. Units gaining fearless will automatically rally.
even with a unit within 6inch?
yes as stated in the “fearless” rules they can ignore all normal restrictions that would normally apply for rally, but they dont rally right away but in the next moving phase.
Cool =)
i love all this helpfull information for someone new to the game.
I have a question about fleeing
I assumed that if the enemy put a unit in your path when fleeing the unit fleeing was removed from the board so can you always move through enemy units when fleeing?
what if there was a tank line with no room to move through or over can you move sideways to get round it?
You can move “side to side” when fleeing to your table edge, but if you can *never* “go back” on yourself (the way you came) when fleeing. If you find yourself in a situation due to terrain and/or units that force you to do this then the unit is immediately destroyed.
almost expected this to be my “use the monolith to teleport the warriors away from enemies/board edge when they are fleeing so they can rally” tactic, or is this name a bit long winded? 🙂
Can you run a transport into their path and then have them embark? during the run phase maybe? Would that cause them to rally?
Nope, units can’t enter vehicle in any phase but shooting, and they can;t do it in the movement phase since they have to fall back.
I’d say no, since you make a fall-back move until you rally “instead of moving normally”, and embarking is technically part of normal movement.
I was worried about this half strength rule then I realised I play nids 🙂
When do you make fall back moves? I say that it is at the beginning of every turn, but I have guys arguing that you only fall back on your turn.
According to rule book (Pg. 45 2nd paragraph):
“Units make a fall back move immediately upon failing a morale test. In each subsequent movement phase, they will make further fall back moves instead of moving normally, until the unit regroups, is destroyed or leaves the table”
Seems straightforward…. am I missing something?
“…make further fall back moves instead of moving normally…”
Normally, your units don’t move during your opponent’s movement phase.
Great Video another display of Darrell’s astounding 40k knowledge!
Bonding knives for Tau let you rally after taking 50% casualties.
