“Blood Lance works slightly like Jaws of the Werewolf”
A slight slip of the tongue, he meant Jaws of the World Wolf
However I would love the see a power called Jaws of the werewolf.
I have always thought that you cannot attack the occupants of a vehicle if you destroy the transport in the shooting phase, have I been plaing it wrong or has the impossible happened and Darrel is wrong (again).
Where in the book does it say you can assault vehicle disembarkees after it has been destroyed with shooting attack?
Let me reply to myself. Page 67 BRB just after “destroyed explodes” there is a “note”.
“cheese hunting where no cheese exists”
epic line
I disagree with you Darrel, it doesn’t say it fires a single shot. It says “Any enemy unit in the lance’s path suffers a single Strength 8, AP 1 hit with the “lance” type.” That reads to me like anything under that line is hit. To back it up with the fluff because that just makes me smile, the last bit says “skewering EVERYTHING in its path.” Not just one thing in it’s path, everything.
Actually, it seems Darrell is right. “Any enemy unit” (whether they be 1 or 20 models) “…suffers a single…hit” It doens’t say anything about models in its path, it specifically states units. True, it is not a single shot if more then one unit is in its path, but it is still only 1 hit per unit. It does make sense to me in that it is more a tankbuster then anti-infantry power.
Touchè, well that makes me rethink my current list.
I think it’s actually been FAQ’d on the GW site tbh and it says it only hits one model per unit.
HOLY SHIT!!! Darrell’s actually right this time!
