Firedragon Games Hunker Down in Bunker Sized Cover
May 30, 2012 by brennon
Everyone needs some massive defensible position to hold during a Sci-Fi fire fight. Firedragon Games have just the thing with this secure looking 28mm Scale Bunker.
Nice and practical with just enough detail to make it stand out while not being hard to get onto the table quickly with a splash of paint or spray. A nice objective and great for even some skirmish gaming if the mood took you.
As well as Sci-Fi there's always the use as a Bunker in World War II maybe for the beaches of Normandy?
Would you hunker down in this Bunker?
We can always use a bunker.
I doubt this would work for World War 2 – the Germans probably had specific styles of bunker which this wouldn’t accurately portray. However for Weird War 2, when the Allies came up the beaches in amphibious walkers with telescopic legs, that’s different… 😉
I do like this though, it’s not got any superfluous detail and looks solid and durable enough to take fire and the ability to use and detail an interior is great for skirmish games or dioramas. You could make something similar with foamcore but this will save a lot of time. Very useful stuff.
If it was used in a game of Heavy Gear It could be a NuCoal Bunker.
And if it was used in some weird tabletop version of golf… 😉
Blood Links. 18 holes of violent mayhem where nothing is out of bounds.
I think I might go for the Orc Severe Ballsatearus
What about Orion the King in the Tiger Woods?
I think it would work nicely with Dust Warfare. Regular WW2 stuff can seem a bit…well, regular, and out-and-out sci-fi isn’t quite right, either.
My AT43 and Infinity games need a bunker sometimes…sweet
Cracking bit of kit. 🙂 i
My club bought one…… We play a lot of AT-43.
The roof clips on with magnets (provided)
It holds 14 miniatures (30mm Rackham bases)
