Great finale to great week. I was planning to paint tonight but there was such a lot of content on here I didn’t get a lot done. The Chaos codex has got my interest as there does not seem to be too many obvious choices to include in your army, certainly no uber powerful unit that everyone will want. This puts the onus on to the player to develop strategies and tactics to make the army work instead of fielding stereo type armies. On the whole the codex looks like it could be a lot of fun and capable of… Read more »
Thanx for the week guys
its nice to have these videos if you dont want to buy all the codexes if your trying to get your game on…
Hey Andy come back to the dark side and do some Privateer Press videos, I say your still the deal in that area. We have cookies over at the warmahordes forum- lol
Have a great weekend guys 🙂
More PP videos are on their way… I just need to add an extra 3 hours to the day, to fit everything in! 😉
The clocks go back an hour at the end of the month, so you’ll only have to find another 2 🙂
Great week guys, Got a good few hours of good viewing. 🙂
Gave me a few ideas on how to start building my new lists
thanks guys, great to have unbiased advice, losing lash is no doubt a shame but at least it forces players to rethink their stragedy (which is what it’s all about)..
I’m really glad the codex rewards players who put together a themed army. Nurgle looks tasty, plenty of converson potential, nice models from forge world, zombies, their psychic powers look to be the most useful and increased toughness all round.
For allies how does the Great Needs A Bath One rate?
Great range of content over the week, I have waited until the end to post, rather than nit pick on individual bits. A few observations – I have always traditionally defended you guys when it comes to some inaccuracies, but this week there have been a lot and I have probably only managed to read my codex once in full. Also you seem to of brushed over certain issues. The autopsy was a good feature, and despite Darrel trying to steer conversation away from the space wolf list it came across as wolves are top teir these are not, which… Read more »
Great week of videos, will defitnately build a starter army and it will be Khorne!
Excellent week of videos 🙂 … would love to see more like these (Carnevale and Infinity weeks were also great incidently) … thought the Battlefield Autopsy was a cool way to get the battle report across, though it would have been interesting to also hear about some games using more varied units on both sides 🙂 … more army lists would also be interesting! Keep up the good work!
Can anyone suggest a game similar to 40K to me. I’ve been a chaos player for a number of years but between the constant nerfing of the game and GW’s business ethics I’m really sick of it. I’ve always injoyed the modeling aspect of it so any new game would have to have decent models. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

I absolutely love all the above click on the title bars at top of this page on Bow site…
You will find everything you need to do your own research I either play or collect them all that is listed…
It is very difficult for me to just name one, so felt it best to direct you to BoW content to make up your own mind
Happy Hunting and welcome to the frey 🙂
I think its too harsh to say Chaos got nerfed, but I agree GW needs to review its pricing. When you look at how much Reaper Bones go for its hard to justify GW prices. I bought some bones minis and although the weapons need to be replaced (too bendy) the detail was pretty decent. GW need to start doing cheap boxes of troops. Back in the day i think you could get 30 imperial guard in a box. Okay detail and positioning is much better now – but when you have a hundred guard who cares what each one… Read more »
I’m just really disappointed in the new codex, that must challenge crap is really game breaking imo. The psychic powers make taking a sorcerer a waste of points and for the most part taking any mark besides nurgle a waste of points also. Just really not feeling this new incarnation of the game 🙁
If you don’t want your squad leaders making/accepting challenges, then make them cheap and it won’t be a big deal. If you have a super killy character, it’s just a one-turn waste of time while they kill the enemy sergeant. Is that really ‘game breaking’ ??? You can get a level three sorcerer for 115 points that can rock up to three spells per turn. How can that possible be a waste of points? There are definitely some good psychic powers in there; the guys just seem to be hung up on the fact that they aren’t as uber as… Read more »
Finally got through all the videos. Great stuff. Now I know what to look out for.
Sadly I really wished they added more special characters from the 1st founding, Nightlords, Word bearer. Iron warriors, hydras(brain fart), etc.
I believe the codex is OK but I feel they needed to add a super unit so when I play someone they can say ”that is so OP” 😀
I feel some of the video’s were harsh and hinted at the fact that nobody really wanted to do it, mainly because it was not smelling of cheese. When darrell said about looking forward to dark angels at the end of the video, that summed up that this book is not cheesed enough and Matt ward will make dark angels super cheesy
good vids guys. thanks. We all know that darrel plays with a tourny style of mind. I like the fluff and the themed armies. but like to win as well. I was hopping for some detail in different armies. like iron warrior special character for instance. and having the berzerkers and thousand sons on elites makes for a hard army to build unless using special characters that give them as troops. I do like the book and new additions to the models lineup. They look great and the rules seem fair and balanced. only play testing and tournament results will… Read more »
