New Factions to Enter the Martian Front
May 13, 2013 by dracs
The Kickstarter for All Quiet on the Martian Front is well under way and has blasted through its funding goals and in the jumble of awesome stretch goals something caught my eye; the promise of more factions joining the war!
So it's not just the Americans and the Martians having a scrap. The image below should give an idea of the sort of scale Alien Dungeon are heading for with this game.
The alien designs are really imaginative and I think that their tech should promise to be equally interesting. I am also interested in seeing the tech of the various countries adapted to this situation. We have already seen that the Americans have come up with some interesting machines, what might the Brits and Germans create? And how will this Martian invasion affect the politics of a world which at this time in its history would have been at war with itself? I can't wait to see the results.
If you want to chip in to the war effort head to the kickstarter now.

Must admit I was wondering how the game would expand.
If the chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, what odds some buggers turning up from the Moon and Venus at the same time?
Nice treble up at William Hill’s that would be!
Shame there won’t be a lot left to spend the winnings on! lol
Chibi, you have made my day with that post.
Look at that, Canada is on the map for a force of their own. It’s not common Canada get mentioned. If they do get models in a game, it’s often as an add on supplement not as a stand alone force. I really hope they do us Canadians some justice in this game.
Special abilities will be ace!
Just think, those tripods won’t stand a chance when it comes to rolling logs and they will also get bogged down in maple syrup.
And that’s BEFORE the Mounties turn up. They always get their Martian!
Then if that doesn’t work, let Justin Bieber loose.
That’ll get them scurrying back to their home planet before you can say, “Really, that old? I thought you were only 11!”
hey @manpug Hyperthetical question what Canadian forces would do you proud.
The guys represented by the Canadian Pines at Vimy Ridge?
They would do me proud
” On the surrounding wall of the monument are carved the names of the 11,285 soldiers killed in France during the First World War and whose final resting places were never found. In their honour, a Canadian pine for each of these brave men was planted in a park close to the monument.”
A very moving place.
Your 110% right @chibi, the brave men at Vimy Ridge defined us as a nation at that time. @huscarle at the time of the first world war Canada was viewed only as a satellite country to the British. But due to the bravery of the men at Vimy Ridge it set us on a new course that defined us based on our choices rather than being told to serve. In this game it would be good to have Canadians brave, stubborn and willing to take casualties. As for sci-fi, yes maple syrup cannons and log tumblers would do as chibi… Read more »
HG Wells invented a Time Machine and was paid huge sums of gold to take them into another time Manpug.
Sadly they were KIA but not before gramophone recordings were made so they continue to sent the aliens running away screaming like little girls. lol
That’s a good call guys
