DreamForge’s Morbid Mortis Preps for Plastic
May 15, 2013 by dracs
DreamForge Games' scythe wielding leviathan the Mortis is getting ready to reappear in plastic, allowing this menacing machine to have even more daunting poses.
DreamForge's massive Leviathan miniatures are pretty impressive anyway, but replace one hand with a giant scythe and you have a real source of terror!
According to DreamForge this new plastic rendition of the mini will allow more options for positioning, particularly the hands and scythe.
Fancy picking up this lumbering death dealer when it appears in plastic later this year?
Both claw hand and scythe hand are sweet options.
Well I found my new Helbrute…
i want one… the scythe is sweet
I’m glad that the two big guys are now in plastic. I wonder what’s next in line after this?
I know from the Kickstarter there is still the Heavy Power Armored troopers and the APC which looks similar to the German Hanomag but with wheels still to come. After that IDK but am really looking forward to see what is. DreamForge makes some really nice kits.
puts the GW stuff to shame, great stuff!
This model is much, much better than the (nonetheless impressive) shooty one.
I’m pretty sure the weapons are interchangeable between both. The arms have twist release so you can take them off and change them and I’m pretty sure you could mix and match the arms between them any way you want. so you could make this one shooty if you wanted. Its def one of the nice things about the kit.
Dreamforge’s stuff do look awesome. 🙂 Does anyone know how big they are compared to GW models? Because they’d look like very good Guard alternatives.
Well the Levaithan Crusader and Mortis are about 8.5″ high. There is also 15mm ones that are a little bigger than a Marine Dreadnought. The standard trooper models are about the same size as guardsmen but the are a little thinner, they have more realistic proportions. I have seen some that were kit bashed w/Cadians and Marines so some of the parts are interchangeable heres a link showing some that were combined.
