Brand New for Infinity… the Dragao TAG for PanOceania!
November 11, 2011 by beerogre
The PanOceania players have been waiting for it for a long time and now you've got it... here are the first images of the new TAG model for Infinity... the Dragao!
Check out the concept art for this sensational model...
then compare it to the 3D sculpt...
Looks good eh... but check out the fully assembled primed and painted by that maestro of the brush Angel Giraldez.
And last but not least we have the box art.
The Dragao is a powerful support model, armed with the awesome Hyper-Rapid Magnetic Cannon... Possibly the most lethal weapon in the game!
What do you think guys? Is it time to give up and join PanO... or will you fight to the bitter end?
Oh and since you have read right to the end here's a super high-res image for you!
AHAAA! Mighty Robotech!
He has rather big gun on his shoulder. Still those are not as large as railguns of compensation that Tau Broadsides in 40k have.
That’s so great 😀
Very pretty.
But spare a thought for the poor old Morat who have been waiting forever for their TAG, and have to watch the PanO get their 3rd.
First battle I have … Dragao vs O-Yoroi Kidobutai. If Corvus Belli keeps making these amazing T.A.G.s I am not going to have any points left to field troops.
I’ve been collecting Pan o, my little group decided to have a go at infinity after BoW inifnity week, not played a huge amount of it to be honest, but I do love the models, and this one is no exception.
And I have to say, the painting on that (not so) mini is astounding, there are so many tonal variations going on there I wouldnt even begin to understand how it was done.
That is pure awsomeness.
P.S. Hey GW, pay a little cash to the people over at Corvus Belli to design and make the masters for the Tau army. Trust me it will be your best doller spent as this is proof they have the skills.
that is beautiful
I mostly like the figure but to me its not as lovely as the exsisting TAG (The Cutter). The huge gun with the belt feed backpack doesnt work for me as much as Id like.
Also I think it looks more Japanese than PanO
Always a pleasure to see a beautiful model with a stunning paintjob.
This makes me want to add Pan-O to my Yu-Jing for a joint special ops force.
Whelp.
I’m not going to start Pan-O anytime soon. Buuuuuut I may just have to start a Mercenary force. This is so good looking…
Whilst I agree that the Cutter and Armoured Cav. are equals, this new addition is awesome.
Corvus Belli really are fantastic with the beauty they get out of their models.
Really nice mini! But that ammo-feed is just silly….
Ammo feed is silly. The rest of this fig screams high speed excitement thru jungles and urban battlegrounds. This makes me think that his super cinematic-dramatic, anime-esque appearance in a fight would be ironically comedic as he realizes he’s been spewing ammo since fifth street when he got the feed belt snagged on a traffic light and broke it.
The ammo feed is just about the only thing I don’t like. It doesn’t make sense considering that in the fluff it’s used on a jungle world where that thing would get stuck on plants all over the place.
it’s stationed on a world that has a large forest, but it also has lots of farmland and factories. It’s both the granary and factory of Panoceania, as it’s said in the fluff, and since the units get deployed, like any military units, where they’re needed, they can even find themselves in a complete desert or in mountains. So that particular argument against the power cable is a bit…iffy:P
I’m loving the suit itself, but the shoulder gun and it’s ammo feed make it look rather odd. The TAG looks more than capabable of carrying the shoulder gun in it’s hands. I also like the Cutter better.
