Looks pretty cool! The only issue with it I see is putting mini’s in the ground floor, as the roof and floor of the lowest section don’t seem to be removed in an easy way…
they can be removed and accessed very easily
Excellent, wasn’t obvious from the pics if you could easily separate the sections but you can.
Would you need a different primer to usual GW or Army Painter spray because it’s MDF? Some kind of sealant or varnish first so it doesn’t absorb all the paint and warp? Only wooden thing I’ve painted is a skirting board, wasn’t planning on slapping a load of gloss on these (that’s assuming my wife noticed there was constantly a tab opened to microarts website and I actually get a couple for Xmas).
With this coming in a flat pack I’d grab black spray(or dark brown) and a 2″ drybrush and just go over the lot with silver or greyish tan before assembly and leave it at that, but if you want you could really go to town free handing graffiti etc, maybe make some broken windows from blister plastic and do source lighting inside. to break up the colours a bit.

It’d look cool if you painted the windows that orange colour like micro arts door for the concrette walls they do. Some sort of laser windows. Why not it is the future.
The way is comes, in theory you could stack them till your blue in the face.
I painted up 3 sets of these and they look pretty cool. Some lateral airbrushing streaks to represent weathering and concrete fading is simple and very effective.
I would undercoat this in a mix of pva with some grit or stones in it to give the outdside a bunker/stone like quality , and paint with a dry brush of grey
but I do like there ranges
What about a brush on primer like Gesso? I have never used it but I thought that it had a variety that had a grit (chalk?) to it, made for wood painting.
1) primer – any spray primer should be fine. We actually use automotive primers in MAS and no warping of any sort occured. You must be weary of painting it before assembly though; the bits are snap-fit, which actually means the addition of a layer of paint may make the fit too tight. 2) Darrel actually assembled all the floor sections as the roofs of the levels. This is great flat pack. Is it possible to use warhammer 40k miniatures with this cause i think that would be good.

Great looking sci fi habs. Keen to try out some buildings for 40k as the rules are very different for complete buildings, compared to the ruins from GW.
I really like these, in fact I’ve been impressed with all the micro arts laser cut stuff, although not necessarily grim dark , I reckon you could find a home for these on a 40k or post apocalypse table as easily as you could an infinity one.
Do any of you already painted something like the Micro? how it behaves when painting?
