The only thing GW trailers have that this one didn’t was a galaxy back drop.
To be fair, most of their teasers reveal very little. Its not disappointing because its the Horus Heresy which will be awesome! 😛

The clue is in the title. 😉 Given that I no longer play 40k except for a very occasional game, and I don’t have a lot of knowledge of the background, even I can see how big and exciting the news of a Horus Heresy release is! A sexy poster based on one of the book covers would have been better imho. I don’t see the need for a video if images are left out with the exception of some flames. This could have been so much better. If I was GW I would have spent some of that mighty profit they earn on some decent artists and do a motion comic… Basically for this teaser you’d have a voice over, someone gravely and old, a scribe perhaps from the Imperial Church. You’d see animated versions of the book art work (with no music, just the sound of gun fire and roars of triumph) showing the resplendent way in which the Imperium has conquered the stars and then towards the end fade in an image of the fallen Emperor atop the… Read more »
That trailer was s***. Even by teaser standards.
tbf from the sounds of things it is a bad but effective trailer, people are watching it and moaning about it because its that bad. GW don’t need to do a good trailer to get people aware of their new release’s because the bad ones are cheaper and probably get there stuff a similar amount of publicity, even if its mainly people moaning
Not sure why you believe this to be a disappointing trailer, its a teaser so isn’t supposed to contain any real info or pics, its just to peak your interest.
Its actually very exciting and there’s been a massive buzz about it due to the fact it means FW are going to be producing Horus Heresy era miniatures and rules with even the possibility of Primarchs for Apocalypse, sounds pretty interesting to me.

Disappointment means something has failed to reach a certain level of expectation.
Since we have become accustomed to GW teasers and trailers being crap, it should come as no surprise that this one is crap too.
