A Deadly Sniper Joins the Sci-Fi Women of Raging Heroes
April 7, 2013 by dracs
Unfortunately, the kickstarter for Raging Heroes' Toughest Girls in the Galaxy range has hit a few snags, but these should now be sorted out and to get us excited Raging Heroes have released another concept sketch.
Raging Heroes have promised that the sculpts will match the concepts pretty closely. If this is the case than this is going to be an excellent sniper miniature.
Snipers are always cool, but because of their role they're hard to make a dynamic miniature around. This one has a great sense of motion to it through the simple addition of a fluttering cloak.
Are any of you waiting for this kickstarter?

Ooooh… Love tough girls, and snipers. I like snipers. lol 🙂
I wonder when will this eventually launch.
Not sure how she will keep the cannon steady in a firing position like that.
Cool drawing but not believable! Would be excellent if she had a rifle for want of a better term
I hardly think “believable” ranks high in this projects priority, correct?
I like things to be credible.
YMMV
Yes, but that’s not the art direction this project is about, right?
It’s a sci-fi model TECHNICALLY you don’t know what materials the weapon is actually made of :p it could be a very light but durable alloy, for example.
Sci-Fi lets you get away with sh*t like this sometimes :p
I don’t really want to make a big deal of this even if I already have. It looks cool. I would have just felt that bit more positive than I am if it she was called a sharpshooter. Already had considered possible lightweight materials but that still would mean that the scope image would be shaking around like billy-o and then you have to say well it has some sort of Acme Inc balancing and auto correcting device gadget what can’t miss. Except when you roll a 3 or less when she does, All that tech and she still missed.… Read more »
I actually agree with you in spirit etc.
I really dislike this sort of look for miniatures, why I steer clear of Infinity. Not my cup of tea.
I agree on both ends, realism has its place in Miniatures as much as, I guess you would call it over embellishment? As for the mini, its a nice step for this company as she looks a lot more believable then the cliche “Commissar” chicks they have been rampant with lately, For realism quirks why not convert a nice sturdy brick wall under the gun?
Yeah, she looks good, but the pose is rather flashy.
I realise this post is now a few days old but Raging Heroes currently have a sweepstake competition on their facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/asharah.raging] with up to €1000 of their figures up for grabs.
Their use of fb isn’t particularly user-friendly (you have to add them as a friend rather than just like their page) but prizes are prizes…
