I know there’s lots of GW fans out there, but I hope you’re not going to fall back to covering JUST the two warhammer games… There’s great games out there, and there should be at least a quarter of all videos every week dedicated to other games ! I’m one of those guys who, while not systematically booing the GW coverage (hell, I played it once of twice, years ago, and i still paint some of the minis), didn’t bother to follow much of what’s going on on this website because it’s always all GW and only GW. It’s just… Read more »
Fair enough, but as it turns out the entire DE range was redone after 12 years, thats why there is so much content.
I like the coverage you have done on GW 40k even if it is not my only game.
I do “Classic Battletech” and various others as well.
The thing I liked best about your website so far have been “Nid Week” and the “Seven Days of Sanguinius”.
I have to admit that I was looking forward to something like that about the Dark Eldar as well.
Even If I would not mind seeing such a thing along side with reports of other Game system major releases.
I have found my Clawed fiends. Thank you Privateer Press.

And just to keep the Beast theme going with the beast masters, I’m thinking of sugesting the use of these.

both very good choices for alternative models I have to say.
however just for general reference, the only official image of a Clawed Fiend can be found in the 3rd Ed 40k rulebook:

good model.
I registered for beast of war because of all there 40k coverage and im sure that a large percentage have done so for the same reason.
On the topic of HS for DE though i think although there transports and vehicles overall are not very survivable you can get a lot of them into an army and strength though numbers should see them or at least some of them surviving long enough to do a lot of damage.
i hope u will be making an army list from andy and from derrall . i would like to see the deferance between darrell and andy . i think darrell will find some cheese . but i think andys list will be a grate one .later guys
i would love to see the guys at bow do some vids on malifaux and classic battletech and other games .
You want a clawed fiend picture?
Here’s MY clawed fiend >:D

You shall bow before her fiendfulness!
That is scary fiend 🙁 I run now!!!!
Lol. Gotta love it! One of my cats just loves to sleep on our gaming board while we play. We consider it as moving piece of terrain. surprisingly she doesn’t do any harm to the model until we try to catch her. Well once she started chewing one of my friennds Chaos Marines. We called her Carnifex or Squigoth since that day. 😀
Does that ‘imply’ there might be a new Fiend of Slaanesh model in the offing?
While I love the metal models, having a few more in plastic would be fantastic!
I think I’ll get 2 squads of Scourges and a squad of beasts. Probably a squad of Hellions too cuz Ive always like those and theyre plastic now!
I would have liked to have had a reply from BoW instead of just a few werhammer fans clicking on “-1” near my message. Surely my message was civil enough ! Surely even rabid GW fans can understand that since their games are omnipresent, covered everywhere, on every website, sold in its dedicated branches as well as everywhere else… They don’t need as much coverage as the other, more struggling games ! And yet it gets MORE of it. The warhammer vids on this site still overwhelm all the rest combined by 30 to 1, perhaps more. Is it fair… Read more »
Come on mate. You posted stuff like that after a pretty big coverage on Warmachine and Hordes. Andy (or beerogre) made quite a lot of vids recently, starting with the starter boxes. Also the Kings of War did get quite the bit of love. It’s a good start, no? I do understand you and think other games should get more coverage but there’s no sense going Don Kichote about it as of yet.
Yes, I suppose, you’re right… I did get quixotic. It’s just we’ve waited a while, now, even before the website was up and running, when this was just a Youtube channel… And this website is still only about GW with a little warmachine thrown in (and I’m grateful for that, even if it still seems like it’s a teaspoon poured into the sea)… And perhaps one or two vids on other stuff, once in a while. This is supposedly a site dedicated to all wargames. That’s what they said they would do. When are we going to hear regularly (not… Read more »
I’m pretty sure the guys will cover more games. You can see things changing as the team expands. We’ve got Andy here to show us the beauty of Warmahordes, and I’d really like to see some more Flames of War coverage, because those history lessons by John were really great. On the other hand one has to understand that GW products are still number one. Especially now with new fantasy edition and each time when a new codex or army book pops up. It’s just natural that these products get the most exposure. The majority of the market bellongs to… Read more »
The “birdmen” from the previous codex were called, Scourages.
So, looks like reavers (hard thrust), scorchers (close penetration), and beast masters (under the skin) for me.
ROFL
Hopefully I’m not driving anyone crazy, atm. I’m still deciding if my dark eldar should be “touched” by Slaanesh in some way.
That would be Scourges*, no “a”.
Doesn’t the hellion skyboards remind you of winged rippers? They do to me :}
Tried some beasts out last night!! They were terrible. Well, the whole game was terrible to begin with but I nearly won in the end. 5 Objectives, spearhead, limited scenery, and limited dedacated transports. I took a beast master with 4 kymera and 1 fiend (old warp beasts and a krootox haha). They got exposed by a valkurie scout moving, then moving, and 2 well placed rockits and a multi lazer later, they were smashed down, beast master killed, (Really difficult to understand as far as allocating wounds are concerned, you would have expected the beast master to live to… Read more »
Just to add to that; reavers are incredibly soft. t4 6+sv. Anything can kill them in a jot. Definately only suitable for dive bombing with caltrops, or suiciding up to vehicles with heat lances. Fun, but I have only successfully used them 1 out of 3 times so far.
