Ok guys you’ve been asking for it so here we go, Andy and Darrell take their first look in to the Dark Eldar codex and chat about the general special rules for the army and have a think about just what Andy should get for his new army.

oh no over powered I take it, luckly no one at my club playes DE 🙂 I hope the new necron codex will be as good as this, but since there getting rid of the WBB rule I don’t think so.

You started off by asking Darrel about the background… i fail to see the sense in it.
Over the next few months and with Christmas around the corner we’re all gonna playing these sneaky webway buggers for many years to come! But to be fair, they’ve waited long enough for the new models and codex! The models are stunning… Can’t wait to see what BOW thinks of the DE new rules and tips on how to beat these evil panzies! Seems to me that every new Codex is just a slight more overpowerd than the previous one. Just like GW becomes aware of that the last release was a bit to strong and instead of fixing it they throw in an even stronger fraction to beat the last one.
So… DE kills BA kills Nids kills Imps…. Maybe Necron will be the nemesis of every DE player.
In this way of looking at it i can lean back comfortable and waiting for my new CSM or Tau Codex.
So, this I find a little weird…. Nids get’s a ‘Nid week’. BA gets a BA week. Dark eldar have always been the most interesting race in 40k, their story is brilliant. They now have a kick ass new codex that wets the appetite with fluff not just giving it a spare couple of pages like the old ‘dex. TOTAL revamp of models and rules and yet it seems they just get a week on BOW. Great first look at the Dark Eldar guys. Not too long; very succinct. Your fluff overview was a bit off Darrell, but big points for trying!
Totally know what you mean about unreliable drug dealers (just kidding!)….
I dont think that the Dark Eldar’s most evil act was causing the birth of the god of pleasure and killing off most of the Eldar; space Elves or otherwise, I haven’t met an Elf that didn’t deserve to die and I havn’t met a Slanneshi I didn’t want to buy a beer.
Any time a new codex comes out, everyone goes on about how over powered it is. Its boring people. Seriously! Every army has their perks, its just you notice it more because these guys have been using 12 year old rules that didn’t do them justice. A fair few of their special rules from items and so on didnt fit into the new rules so were wasted. They’re not over powered, they’re just doing what they are meant to do – be super fast and pack a hard punch. They are still toughness 3 and cost a lot of points.… Read more »
Dark eldar background and overview of the new codex, all done in thick accents is just too lovable for me.
I enjoyed all the vids, though agree the dark eldar need more. I’m sure there will be once more models are released.
