The Crimson Fist 25th Anniversary model for Warhammer 40,000 from Games Workshop is now on Advance Order and here are a few more clean shots of the model so you can make your decision...
The Finecast model comes in this presentation box featuring the art work that inspired the model. The Crimson Fist comes with a Power Fist and Plasma Pistol, wielding an Ork head and clad in his Mark VI Power Armour.
The model is released on February 25th.
Will you splurge the cash on this Anniversary miniature?

Thats rather nice looking model.
I ordered it the night the put it up. I find it kind of funny that it’s “Only a maximum of 5 per customer” Which I think is actively contributing to the extortionate Ebay selling.
But that said. I do like the model.
Personally I think it’s more than a little meh. I don’t get the homage to Rogue Trader then changing it. It was a bunch of marines, with a regular marine that just happened to be waving an ork head about. This guy though has a flag, has upgraded to a power fist and got himself a plasma pistol. Yeah, good for you, you got all these fancy upgrades but do you know what mate? You’ve got no friends now! The model standing there alone, waving an ork head, looks rather silly and lonely I think. It loses the epicness of… Read more »
Not to cast aspersions or jinx anyone, but what would gw do if someone asks for a replacement of a limited edition due to a miscast? although I do note its “while stocks last” rather than “only Xhundred made”…
Well exactly. Something like this, definitely not a gaming piece but a show piece and limited edition, I’d be expecting the extra care to be taken to produce a flawless cast.
I suppose GW are in a no win situation here. If they produce them all bubble/warp free with exquisite casts then it’ll be “They’ve proven they can do it , why not all the time?” and if it’s not it’ll be the usual.
They should get this one right, but like you say I bet they don’t lol
Hmmm… The model is the price of a tactical squad box, and comes with only terrain and a flag…. Maybe the armour is a bit fancy but for something that really has no place in the game and is just a show piece it’s a bit expensive. I would have rather a limited edition sprue with weapon options or some MK1 armour.
There are parts of the model that I like and some parts that I find abit lacking. The overall feel doesn’t really reflect the desperation of the original cover art. I think base should have a few Crimson Fists firing in all directions around the captain. For the price their asking, that shouldn’t have been a problem.
I would have preferred it if the marine had the plasma fist instead of the pistol, just like in the artwork.
This is a special edition ?!
But…
It’s stiff, and I could do the exact same model by simply altering a little my old plastic corvus marines from way back when !
This has got to be a joke…
I have a plan to one day diorama the Rogue Trader artwork. I won’t be using this though. Looks nothing like the original guy, why does he not have a plasma fist? You can’t use it in a game on that massive base, so why does he need to fit current fluff? If they were going to homage it, it should look the same. The only thing this has going for it is the vents are horizontal not vertical, with the extra limb vents. Other than that it only has a passing resemblence. Like doing a VE day flypast using… Read more »
It’s not too bad, but for the £20 price tag on a guy i could make out of spares i would expect it to come built and painted too. but GW would never do that.
lol…i’m in madness…i will buy 2-3 of this box…and I hate the Space Marines 😀
