I am seriously thinking about getting a Contemptor and ‘wolfing it out’ for a different version of Bjorn.
I think that this is a really dreadnought. IMO the olders seems like a bad joke comparing with it; and the weapons are much better than the olders too.
The reasoning is @dase1982, is that back in the day they had access to greater technology and knew what is was and how to work and make it. Then came the dark age for them and what you know, they have only some of the records and what not to make the beast. So from that time onward they never could make the better and cooler Contemptor model. It sucks to be them in the year 40,000.
That’s some bad ass weaponry going on there. Would love to chaos-ify this up and stick it on a Chaos Dred.
I can really see myself buying one of these to stick on my Ork warboss.
I just got 2 of them in from Forge World. It’s a really nice kit with very little in the way of mold lines. One issue I do have is that the bottom of the main torso looked a bit hacked up and uneven. I spent a good couple hrs magnetizing one of the Power Fist arms to be fully articulated except for the fingers and to magnetize the upper and lower halves of the model for easier transport.
I’ve got one done up in Ultramarine livery. Both arms are magnetized so I can switch the weapons around in case I don’t need lascannons or a powerfist.
There is a touch of orkiness about these Contemptor Pattern class dreads..mega nobz/ Ghazghkul conversions me thinks!?!
i am so getting one when the datasheet is fully filled in right now it has 2 new things out and is missing 3 so i cant wait to see what they come up with next then again at £45 it is about a 150% the cost of a normal one
