Check Out Ramshackle’s Radlodyte Pirate ‘Copter
January 15, 2013 by brennon
Ramshackle Games are back with another miniature from the post apocalyptic future. Check out the Radlodyte 'Copter below which is looking pretty fantastic...
This would be pretty perfect for a mutant army in the far future. It would also be great for a greenskin horde since the crew have a little bit of the 'goblin' about them.
It should be a lot of fun to paint and customise so I look forwards to seeing what you guys do with it should you buy it!
What do you think?

Rotors look a bit stumpy but the rest is great. Love how there are even wee missiles on the tail. Get to da choppa!!
Yeah the rotor blades. hmmm
I can understand why you might not want them too long getting in the way and messing with terrain and other models on the gaming table but it needs something more convincing.
Am reminded of an old school electric milk float. But with crates of ammo instead of gold tops.
Oh yes!! You have to call the pilot Ernie!! lol
Ernie the fastest valkyrie in the west.
Call me picky, but flying things should look like they can fly. I’d be happier if this had some enclosed tilting fans or VTOL nozzles under it, or some orky combination of the two.
It’s just keeping in theme with the official GW flyers, all of which look like their idea of “flight” is a crazy cartwheel 30 seconds after takeoff and slamming into the ground immediately after.
Well said. Anyway ork machinery works by their collective belief. Imperial machinery works by injection molding 😛
Quite so chaps.
Imperials use a belief system to keep their flyers airborne similar to Orks, but based on, “Well if pigs can fly so can skips and dumpster trucks.with wings on back to front.”
Seems to work.
Though to be precise, the new Dark Angles fatskimmer is powered solely by the dubstep.
Hmm, not really sold on this one. Rotor blades just bug me tbh, too stumpy like someone else has said but the base model would be a pretty solid start for conversion work, If I was inclined to do so I’d stick some wings on it and attempt to have it look more akin to an ‘Osprey’ troop carrier that’s used by the USA.
This is just the right orky feel to it. Just needs some help getting it right. Not much is needed to make it fit into an ork army. Riders and all need to be swapped but this easy.
To be honest, the rotor blades are short for casting reasons. If they were longer they would be brittle and mean problems! The model is the first full model for casting that Pete has made, and we agreed that the rotors being shorter was a wise move for production. This kit is for the more experienced modeler/ For this reason I didn’t really have any worries regarding the end user being able to knock up some plasticard longer blade. Im also happy to supply a double set of blades so that you can fix two sets together to make longer… Read more »
