Chaos & Imperial Knights Stomp Into GW’s Pre-Orders This Weekend!
May 3, 2022 by fcostin
This weekend, expect the ground to be shaking as some new big stompy robots are on the horizon! Games Workshop has announced some shiny new releases for the Chaos Knights and Imperial Knights, along with a new book: Nachmund Rift War, heading over to pre-order this Saturday.
Starting off with Chaos Knights Army Set, the box contains three different models. GW has even said that the box is choc-a-bloc with many bits and pieces, but constructing a petrifying Knight Abominant and two War Dogs from the kit will give you some fearsome reinforcements. Or get you kicking to start a metal grinding army for yourself.
Along with the models, there is an exclusive set of data cards and an exclusive Codex. Do not worry about rushing and getting your pre-order in. GW has mentioned that this will be the launch and the first release/chance you can get the products - so if you can hold on a little longer you will be able to purchase them separately from the set. Especially if you are just eying up the new Knight Abominant - so do not feel the urgency to rush out and make sure that you have a set - they will be widely available to all... eventually.
Imperial Knights Codex // Warhammer Community
To stand up against the Chaos, the Imperial Knights gain a new codex containing rules to get them out into play. Although the Chaos Knights get themselves a fancy stocked-up box of new releases, the Imperial Knights are rewarded with a new codex with new abilities and commands to unleash on a savage but honourable warpath. Plus some new data cards to get you prepped on the table.
Imperial Knights & Armigers // Warhammer Community
But, it cannot contain your excitement and want to get some new Imperial Knights models out on the table, the Knights and Armigers are getting re-released and remastered for more flexibility in your units. There are now more options, with the chance to turn the Armiger into Helverins or Warglavies or you could simply corrupt the machine further into the Chaos, bringing a new disastrous duo of War Dog Huntsmen or War Dog Executioners.
The Knight Dominus towers over the other Imperial releases this week, allowing players to construct their tank as a Knight Valiant or Knight Castellan. But adding a little spice into that, Chaos Knights players can corrupt this titan into a fearsome Knight Tyrant.
Warzone Nachmund - Rift War // Warhammer Community
If you are keen on being clued up with the current overarching story of 40k, the last pre-order this week will be the ar Zone: Nachmund – Rift War. Containing new missions, faction rules, new crusade rules, and a larger campaign titled: War of Desperation.
Keen on getting your hands stuck into that new Knight Abominant? I anticipate it won't be long for John to get his hands on the new releases either!
Is there anything that has tickled your pickle this week from Games Workshop?

The chaos knights do look good to play with.
those Chaos Knights do look rather good.
Oh god – just when I think I’ve built up an immunity to the shiney GW throws at me and I have the strength to say NO (mind you my resolve is usually bolstered considerably when I see the price tag), they have to bring out big stompy chaos mechs…with skulls…and huge tusks…and spikey bits.
Ok GW you have me…but just this once.
