The guys settle in for another look at the Chaos Daemons Codex, this time exploring the Fast Attack section. There seems to be a lot of good units in here that are worth taking into battle!

Man, that beard does grow “Fast”. Anyway in general I thing Daemons are going to be a difficult army to master. There is a-lot of stuff in it and you will be banking on the dice gods to play their part all the time. To prove my point, I think you might have been a bit rusty with the rules your selves. For example Daemonic instability does make you immune to pinning so the furies will not suffer from snipers. Sorry. Although I did have to look at the rule book to verify this. Don’t get me wrong, I am… Read more »
Guys, where is Darrel? Why he is not doing this kind of videos anymore?
I like the idea of Plague drones, but anything you’re going to want to instant death is going to be either big and fast in which case it’ll kill you before you get to hit back – like a daemon prince or slow but heavily armoured, like a Tau riptide or Tyrannofex. You bundle in with 9 attacks and half hit, then half those wound. Now opponent has to fail 3 2+ saves. It’s an expensive unit that’s not very good. The furstration is that Daemons have to use the same units over and over again to do mutiple jobs.… Read more »
Just watched – folks – you’ve missed out elites! Not that there’s anything useful in there.
@dignity – Please, please could you chaps discuss the point of Bloodcrushers having a 6+ save? I cannot help but feel I’ve missed something because I can’t see a situation where it would be used.
The 6+ save is for future books. No doubt Grey Knights will have weapons to ignore invulnerable saves in general, or just against Daemons.
With the best will in the world, that sort of buggers over the point of an invun save.
And a save of 6+? Not worth having! Sorry to be a nark over that one, but the idea of paying 40 points for a bloodcrusher and a 6+ save with T4 is barmy. Against Tau, perhaps charging a unit of crisis suits you really are in the brown stuff. even 35 would be more points efficient.
I still remember those good old days when grey knight DID ignore in vs with some of there weapons
Honestly I think its cause they kinda copied and pasted stuff between the 40k and fantasy books and in fantasy you get to take both ward and regulars saves. Just my opinion, only thing that makes sense.
