Burn In Designs Start Stacking The Metaverse Tower
March 6, 2013 by brennon
Burn In Designs have shown off one of their upcoming work-in-progress terrain pieces. Check out the early stages of the Metaverse Tower set below...
This will eventually be a stacking set which allows you to create different floors of a building, each with removable roofs so you can put miniatures inside as well as out.
Of course you could just keep them all as low one level buildings and create a compound. Perfect for a game of MERCS wouldn't you say?
What do you think of this upcoming terrain kit?
This looks really neat! I like it a lot. I would hope that it is made from 3mm MDF as opposed to the 2mm that feels a little weak in comparison. Ill ask on their blog and report back 🙂
I don’t know about mercs, but it would be a great alternative for terrain for Infinity.
I am loving these sci-fi buildings that are coming out, although it means I’ve got to buy some infinity stuff to justify buying the scenery.
I can see this working as a futuristic Tokyo for MERCs.
They do all sorts of terrain at a VERY good price!! I have seen some really nice WIld West style stores on there that are very appealing indeed. 🙂
As promised I received this reply:
“All the current kits are 1/8″ (3mm) birch plywood so strength is not a problem. I have dropped the prototypes enough times to confirm they will handle some pretty heavy abuse.

So sounds pretty good I would say 🙂
Looks pretty good, especially with the signage and lights. Could make a convincing city with these commercial units, microarts residential blocks and these:

for industrial facilities.
There’s certainly a lot of good terrain pieces coming out these days. I’m a big fan of MDF buildings since I bought my first ones last year.
These look great as well.
Looks good wonder what postage to the UK would be, Some of the aussie kits look awesome but seem to cost $200 to ship here!!!!
Yeah, if only we knew a big online gaming store that might be interested in stocking them in the uk for us….. Anyone at BoW headquarters got any ideas? Cough cough nudge 😉
Thats a super cool unit so far. I wish I could make out all the words on the sign 🙁
Looking at these inspires me. It’s about time I got some more of my designs laser cut and set up that E-bay store I keep telling my self I will do.
