Building a Life-Sized Dreadnought with Samsun Lobe
January 9, 2012 by beerogre
If you're a Facebook junkie, then you might like to take a look at the Project started by Samsun Lobe to build a life-sized 40K Dreadnought!
The project is in its early stages, but judging from the pictures, this 4.5 metre tall monster will be a sight to behold when it's finished.
You can like Samsun Lobe's Facebook page Here... and while you're at it... don't forget to check out the Beasts of War Facebook page too!

And yet when I try to build a 20 foot death machine in a warehouse they up the dose on my meds…
I wonder how this puppy is going to be moved to conventions? From the looks of it, it seems intense.
Also @cazboab we all wish you well from the last time you tried to make an AT-AT in your back yard.
Yeah that was supposed to be K9 but I’m not good at conversions from metric…
Maybe try out some free build options in Minecraft? That way the anti psychotic brigade wont put you on their top 10 list of potentially mad Scotsmen who wear funny hats, have problems with scale conversion, and therefore need to be suppressed. The inability to keep from drooling all over yourself (let alone mange your bodily waste production at a socially acceptable level) somehow doesn’t seem worth it. But if you do have pics of a giant 20 foot death machine that you want to share (at least before they lock you up), please do…
Its not a hat its the card sleeve from a miller 4 pack.
Anyone notice how the picture looks photoshopped?
Especially the rightmost part. Look at the toes and how they’re “placed” on the wooden pallet. There’s no shadows to suggest it’s standing on the pallet. It’s even a bit blurry as if the resolution was changed from the foot to the pallet.
Personally I’m willing to blame industrial florescent lighting until its proven fake, the blurring could be a side effect of compression or a trick of the light caused by the glossy surface next to a dull one confusing autofocus on the camera etc.
Yea, looks real enough to me, with overhead lighing there wouldn’t be much shadow on the pallet.
Of course, the great Dreadnought construction conspiracy of 2012! You have stumbled upon another sinister plot, engaged by the New World Order hegemony, to fool us all into believing that people actually engage in creative efforts just for the fun of it! Madness and folly. Another sign that the end times are truly nigh. Or is that nee?
Nee would be the shrubbery, not the hegemony…
Hey! Don’t be mean. I like tin foil hat, ok?
