Bow Before Lorgar, Primarch Of The Word Bearers
December 7, 2013 by brennon
Forge World have revealed the finished model for the mighty Lorgar, Primach of The Word Bearers. See what you think of this massive model, the latest in an ongoing line of deadly Space Marines.
He is just one simply stupendously good looking model isn't he?
"...For his failings, Lorgar received only disdain, contempt and censure from his siblings and father. His greatest success, Monarchia, was rendered to dust and ashes at the command of the Emperor, who sought no worship from his son, only swift victories to hasten his works. With his beliefs shattered, anger and resentment set in and Lorgar began to secretly accept new, darker truths. Both betrayer and betrayed, it was he who would set the stage for the nightmare of the Horus Heresy..."
The amount of effort that goes into making these must be titanic and if you'd love to hear about the thinking behind it then check out the Youtube video above this where they chat about that very thing.
I think he is quite the looker and have always liked the idea of Chaplains and 'Holy Men' in the ranks of the Space Marines. And if all words fail, smash their face in with a dirty great mace.
What do you think?

Absolutely beautiful model, think i am with most that I think the legs look a little awkward sometimes but still a fantastic sculpt. I can’t wait for Simon to finish Horus next.
Extremely excellent sculpt, however I’m not a fan of the look of the model, but I won’t doubt how technical this was to make.
Alot of people keep saying the legs look too low down, but i think it’s simple because the breastplate extends over the waist and gives the appearance of a lowered waistline.
The head goes into the body about 7 and a half times, so there is nothing wrong with his height, and the legs themselves are a good enough length.I think seeing this model from a slightly different angle to the full frontal one would clear up alot of the fuss about his waist.
Also, this guy might be the next big bad in my fighting fantasy games.
I don’t think its anywhere close to the standard of the other releases in the HH character series. It’s a nice model yes but a certain drop in standards from what we have been given so far. Disappointing.
Not very engaging. For a Primarch, you don’t get any sense of emotion or purpose. All you have is basic pose with head slightly on an angle? Come on guys, you can do better, we seen your work.
my god 😮
