Like boarding planks. Use them with a group of boyz with a nob with a powerklaw. Not as many attacks as thraka or the nega nobz but it is fun to take a swipe at people on the way by and it is only 30 points for the plank and klaw.
Oi remember that all CC attacks are resolved against the rear armor not the front ^^
Apart from Dreadnoughts (and other walkers, I believe?), this is true. That’d turn a mere Trukk into a Leman Russ killer if it was in the right place at the right time >:D

So a quick question since your not locked in combat and they cant strike back does that mean i could drive my trukks behind walkers and hit the rear armor aswell? ( after all we arnt fighting as such im just attacking you )
all cc attacks against walkers kinzo r resolved on the front armour not the rear its in the walkers section of the book. and yes i do believe u can do that, drive behind the walker and shoot them in the back since u wouldnt be locked in combat.

Walkers are always hit on front armor with close combat attacks. The only way to hit them in the side or rear is to shoot them.

Actually even if immobilised you still hit front armour. You never hit walkers on rear armour with CC attacks,
Ghaz gets 5 attacks. He has +2 on the charge because he has Adamantium Skull. He head butts you as well as getting his extra charge attack. So, Ghaz has 7 attacks on the charge! He is ultimate win with the exception of Slow and Purposeful. WWAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!
7 attacks on the charge isn’t bad, not as good as my saga of the warrior wolf lord who racked up 22 attacks 😛 Think Ghaz could survive 22 attacks hitting on 3+ with rerolls to wound? lol
It only shows that the Ork codex is much older. And they say old cheese smells worse. Go figure. Anyways… Ghaz plus hordes of boys = epic win 😀

I dont think anyone is getting my question we all know that no matter what we always hit front amour on walkers my question was since technically this isnt a close combat phase thing its merely an affect of wargear could it be “Aimed” just like the wrecking ball
PLZ HELP ME, i was in a game i was playing a tyranid and my friend space marines i assaulted him in a round of combat and destroyed his flamers ( land raider) then after the ruond his turn he moved 2 inches back then rammed me, i don’t believe you can do this could you help me? thank you
1st, I don’t think this is the spot for this question.
2nd. He can do this as long as he moves at least six inches. He doesn’t even need to back up but he can if he chooses as long as he moves six inches at least.
Also, you CAN attack with your boarding ramp if you’ve moved 12”. The rules state you can use it “provided neither vehicle has moved MORE than 12” on pg93 of the ork codex.
Which means you can move 13″ with Red Paint 😉

Don’t forget the dreadnought full of beans has a secret gas attack, this can be silent and very deadly, but has no effect on vehicles.
I partially agree with you Darrell. I take one exception though. While it is fair and legal to attack the dreadnought, or any walker for that matter, since it is a vehicle, the issues are whether it gets to fight back and what armor facing is hit. I would say that the walker gets it’s attacks and incoming hits are resolved on front armor, here’s why. The Boarding Plank rules states the the attacking model “… allows a single embarked ork to make it’s close combat attacks against an enemy vehicle within 2″ EXACTLY AS IF THE ORK MODEL WERE… Read more »
To bad GW did not release a FAQ about this topic because it has come up many times and is debated constantly between me and my friend when I use it against his defiler. I see no use to the boarding plank unless used against walkers because they are the only vehicle that you would not normally want to assault because the can tie you up in an assault for ever.

We always play where it seems as though the model is actually attacking in close combat. I’m not really sure if there is anything that prevents the dread from then locking it in close combat anyway. I assume that the combat is still ongoing next turn if the dread (or model attacking) is still alive. Does it say something along the lines of the boarding plank disappears after the initial attack? With a regular vehicle that doesn’t matter but something that can actually lock it makes a difference. Safe rule would be not to assault dreads… 😉
Real quick, could you use it in combination with the deff rolla? Tank shock for D6 S10 attacks, your tank shock normal attack AND a giant claw out the window against an enemy vehicle,
