Blood Will Run in Pulp City on the Date of its Kickstarter
November 14, 2013 by dracs
Pulp City's upcoming Kickstarter has had to be postponed, but now we have an idea of the date it will be starting. Get ready for a super hero smack down on January 30th 2014.
Along with the new information on the Kickstarter a new piece of concept art has appeared showing off a couple of the iconic villains of the Pulp City citizenry.
"The Pulp City Kickstarter now has an official launch date of Thursday January 30th 2014. Our core pledge at $90 will include both of our new Starter Sets and a printed copy of the new rule book as well as a Kickstarter exclusive mini.
If we beat our funding goal we will have a number of stretch goals offering a mix of free minis and specially priced add-ons. We also have additional enhancements to the book and presentation of rules." - Pulp Monsters
Pulp City is one of the more interesting games out there and the new designs and artwork for this Kickstarter are looking more than promising, which characterful designs and a frantic and fun style. We will be keeping an eye out for this when it appears at the end of January.
Have any of you played Pulp City before?

Although I am sure they would have preferred to launch the KS earlier, I think that delaying it until January is a wise move, particularly given how many tabletop projects are running between now and Christmas (and lets not forget the cost of Christmas itself!)
I’ve got a few Pulp City minis including the Gentleman and Harrier, both pictured in the art, and although they are very nice sculpts I will happily buy the new versions if and when they are released 😀
Glad to hear it! We would have needed to launch in October to really make it happen. With the delays and difficulties we figured it was best to wait. As you say Christmas is not cheap for anyone. The new game itself is just amazing. I really think it will be the best Skirmish Game Ruleset on the market. Fast, Fun, Tactical game play is what it’s all about. When we launch we’ll have plenty of videos, game play demos and the like to help you figure it out. If you’ve got questions ask here or on our Facebook page… Read more »
Some day I’ll become a super hero.
can I see Warren with his pants on outside his trousers demoing this please , an early xmas present…
Haha I can see that as a backstage exclusive.
Oh oh I know! Public gets regular Warren playtests, Backstagers get COSPLAY Warren playtests!
@warzan I think they are onto something here
Well if you guys can get him into tights maybe we’ve got a new exclusive model for the Kickstarter!
Heh! How can Warren turn down that offer?
Currently trying Andrea’s on 😉
This may take a couple of days lol
Will look like I’ve been poured into them 😉
I won’t lie, I wasn’t going to back this… But..if Warren agrees to this I will pledge!
Oh! Oh! He could be the Pulp City equivalent of Captain Hammer!
Now this looks interesting…. The delay probably was a good idea overall. I think it will really help with to get a lot more funding. Releasing this year would have ment they would have been competing with Mars Attack, or AvP, christmas ect.
was waiting for this, heard it was starting back in sept. but this date is better hope there is a character ctreation stats for making your own heroes/villians.
I can say there are no build your own rules for PC in the core book. That being said with the new ruleset we’ve designed to allow us to add those rules as the next supplement. Our second book, assuming this one is a success of course, will be build your own everything. Build custom Supremes, Monsters, Minions, heck maybe even mission and stories. This is something that simply was not possible in our first edition of the rules. Supreme Editon is going to make this possible. So if you are interested back us now. Learn the game, help us… Read more »
I keep tabs on pulp city and I am curious to see the make over to the rules, but in general my gaming group gave up on the game. Depending on the models I may back this still.
So tabletopeverything can I ask what made your group give up on Pulp City? I totally understand we had some issues. Lack of updates and new models etc… certainly made us look like a dead game for a while.
