Black Library Bring a Codex for the Iron Hands of Clan Raukaan
November 18, 2013 by dracs
The Space Marines of the Iron Hands chapter, famous for their heavy use of biomechanical augmentations, characteristically belong to one of the ten great clans of Medusa. Now Clan Raukaan of those clans is getting its own digital Codex from Black Library.
The idea of a codex dealing with specific clan within the Iron Hands is interesting as it provides us with a look at a characterful sub-faction within the main chapter, a different approach to the army books than that which Games Workshop has taken in the past.
As with the other digital codexes published by Black Library, the Clan Raukaan codex will complete with new rules, fluff and interactive miniatures galleries, providing you all the information you need to theme an arm around the most aggressive of the ten Clans.
Do any of you field an army of Iron Hands? What do you think of these new digital edition army books?

Why wait until a Saturday to release a digital product? Why not just release it when it’s finished and not have the preorder?
Why not release material that isnt space marine related? Crazy i know
you do realise that before september the last marine release was DA in January, that’s 8 months without marines.
I was talking about product in general, not necessarily miniatures
even so, there were no marine products bar novels in that time period either with the sole exception of the apoc captains.
People complain that GW don’t care about their customers then complain when GW give their customers what they want.
Oh so thats why they release stuff … I was under the impression they are milking space marines because they sell the best. If not then im truly sorry.
Erm … They sell the best because that’s what people want to buy perhaps? It’s really not rocket science. The most hateful thing about your anti GW stance is that you seem to regard GW customers as idiots. I don’t care what you think of GW, but I do not like the way you portray anyone who buys a GW product as a moron being “milked”. This is just the worst kind of elitist idiocy. All of us on BoW are intelligent people and should be above this kind of juvenile behaviour. Sadly some of us are not. I buy… Read more »
You are overanalyzing .. im just taking a snap shot at GWs lack of new ideas. If you dont like it, fine .. just dont make up things about me that isnt true.
@hatamoto I’m actually genuinely sorry and would like to apologise for my little rant back there. I didn’t agree with what said but I should not gave gone into full diatribe mode and certainly should not gave attributed every negative thing anyone has ever said about a GW customer to you. It was wrong, it was rude and I apologise unreservedly. To address your point with a more level head, I do disagree that GW are guilty of “milking”. I would describe milking as releasing new stuff long after you have anything new to add of any value. On the… Read more »
Its cool man 🙂 Im not a GW customer anymore, but the few impressions i get from looking at their ads its as if space marines are the only ones that matter in 40ks huge universe. But thats just my spontaneous impression. I have borrowed a bunch of 40k audio dramas from a m8, and although i love these, they are almost exclusively centered on the astartes. The eisenhorn and imperial guard ones were a fresh breeze. But what about say Tau and Eldar? I recently brought my copy of the Blood quest omnibus comic from the basement, genious …… Read more »
Useful release for Space Marines there. Should come in iron handy that! 😉
Looks pretty nice, I’m liking the digital releases being so regular.
