Battle Systems Works On Containment Protocols
November 20, 2013 by brennon
Battle Systems have been doing exceptionally well with their Tabletop Terrain Kickstarter and they have been showing off some interesting additions which you can see below.
First up lets look at those containment protocols where the marines seem to have employed both airlocks and shiny detention blocks to keep the enemy at bay. I do like these interesting removable pieces of terrain that can make the terrain dynamic in a really simple way.
After all that fighting each soldier does need to have a bit of a rest at some point, and that's where these bunk beds come in. Talking of making things dynamic you could be running around tipping these over to make barricades! Just make your men take strength check or something to do it if you want to be gamey about it!
Once again this allows for a lived in feeling with the terrain and really boosts the story aspect when you're fighting it out on the tabletop.
Have you pledged?

Love it all, Battle Systems is really giving it their all. This stuff on kickstarters is really worth the investment for any internal table top gameplay. Can’t wait for it to go even further!
cool. its really easy to skimp on all the everyday gubbins like lockers, beds, computers and the like but it really does add to the atmosphere, especially in skirmish games…
i need to get some of this, not enough gaming tables look so cool and are so simple. also i’d be tempted to use that forcefield as a stargate and create a scenario based around that.
God, I love this terrain. Man I wish i had the cash to back this at the level i want.
i wish i played at home to grab a good variety of this stuff alas only game ttime is at club where this would probably get a bit battered… sigh well maybe once it hits general release i’ll be able to find an excuse to grab some
This is getting used for Mercs, Pulp City, Sedition Wars, maybe even some Robotech scenario play. I love it! I’d double or triple my pledge if the holidays weren’t right around the corner.
Since the BS guys are looking into providing clear plastic bases as an add-on, I wonder if they could source some blue acrylic doors too. That energy field looks good but translucent would be better 😀
But yeah this stuff should be very versatile. Not sure I’d use it for Pulp City but that’s because I just pledged for $100 worth of dumpsters, street signs and hot dog carts on the Mars Attacks KS..
seeing this pic makes me think how awesome the mantic corporation marines look on clear bases.
Im tempted to rebase my army now….
Oh man I have been waiting for world works games to release some SiFi tera-clips sets. These look just as good. going to have to get me some.
Yeah I don’t know what’s going on with them lately. People have been asking for a terraclips version of Titan for ages now and now the BS guys have beaten them to it. Their loss, I guess!
Does anyone else think Fallout Vault when they see this terrain?
I really like the product but I have concerns about the multi level setup being able to support multiple metal miniatures.
Thier stuff is really strong and they already took that into consideration. If you look at their blog they have talked about that and shortly they are going to release video(s) showing the strength of it. Its pretty thick material overall and just really well made.
hum I see a cheep zone mortalis use here with shame my wallet is empty after deadzone kick starter and starting kings of war
Battle Systems and AVP… nuff said.
