Nice, I liked the back protector.
I wished they also thought about a cheap storage solution, something not designed to carry around, but designed to store models.
KR Multicase make cardboard cases, for about £20. The idea is you can store models in them, and easily slip them inside a more sturdy case for transport. I’m a fan.
cool, definitely gunna get this as i bike it to my local gw AND my local games club regularly.
Looks like KR Multicase’s new backpacks have some competition!
Wow, excellent bag. I bought the original 1520, and did find the problem of it digging into my back, and looking like a bit of a spack walking round with a giant green box on my back. I was happy to have the 1520 to store all of my models, and know it is useful for transporting my entire collection, but this really addresses every issue i had with my 1520.
I never really bothered to voice my concerns, as im so used to companies not listening….should have known Battlefoam would deliver though 🙂
I could never carry around my beloved models out of my sight I would always look if I maybe missed to zip it properly or if parts are falling out of the bag in constant horror of someone or something bumping into my back and crushing them ( no matter how much foam there is ) …so …no way Jóse
I like the look of it, but I have so much invested in other cases and storage (KR) that I probably won’t be getting it. I’ll take a closer look at it at Gen Con.
Aaaaaaaand……….. bought it.
I’ll be sure to pick a couple up when they are out.
Hmmm… I really like the idea of rucksacks used for transport, as I cycle in to my gaming group more often then not nowadays, but it’s 13 miles. Battlefoam make fantastic products, but I must admit I’m abit concerned with the actual straps. I’d have to see one in person, but the straps look far too skinny/thin. If I were to make an army pack, the first thing I’d look at would be the straps, the belt, and the lower back. Looks like Romeo was thinking of the lower back a bit (cool), but I’d make those straps thick, wide,… Read more »
Ironmonger, we actually did exactly what you pointed out. Updated pictures need to be posted but before any bags shipped the straps got extra stitching to strengthen the connection and padding was added also.
We noticed the same thing during our test video. We should be updating the website with the current pics. Rest assure the bag is a lean mean carrying machine.
