August Infinity Releases – Do you have a favourite?
August 25, 2011 by lloyd
So as August draws to a close it’s a good time to have a look at all the Infinity releases of the month.
It’s a good mix with four factions getting the love. Personally I think the Kameel Remotesare are my favourite of these, which is cool as I’m contemplating starting a Haqqislam army.
I’d be interested in hearing which of these tickled you lot this month.
Here’s pics (more in the vid) and detail on each:
Haqqislam Kameel Remote 28,00 €
With this box the Haqqislamite player can take control of the battlefield’s data sphere but also to have a tougher transport and combat Remote. The Kameel Remote is a multipurpose robotic unit that can be employed as a logistical transportation vehicle, a mine-sweeper, a communications and cybernetic control unit in info-war scenarios, and also as a defense platform.
ALEPH Myrmidon Officer (Combi Rifle, Boarding Shotgun) 7,75 €
Created to lead the most effective and fierce assault troops in the Human Sphere, the Myrmidon Officers are warriors of such quality and courage that they are worthy of having fought side by side with the legendary heroes of the Trojan War. With this single blister you will have both weapon options to choose, the Combi Rifle or the Boarding Shotgun, as it comes with two different left arms. Being the Lieutenant or your combat force or just using her useful Chain of Command Special Skill, this impressive female Officer will lead you to the glory. Check in the Infinity website her troop profile updated with a new game option.
Nomads Sin-Eater Observants (HMG) 7,75 €
The military tasks of the male counterparts of the Reverend Moiras are to cover the advance of the Observance troops providing support fire and also to protect the Nomad settlements. The Sin-Eaters will stand out during your enemy’s active turn, when you can take advantage from their Neurocinetics Special Skill which allows them to shoot the complete Burst of their weapons. A single Sin-Eater Observant can become the key element of any Nomad defensive tactic.
PanOceania Hexas (MULTI Sniper) 7,75 €
The PanOceanian invisible markswoman has arrived. She is equipped with Thermo-Optical Camouflage to accomplish the secret agenda of the Intelligence High Command. The Hexas lack scruples or conscience, for them, the triumph of PanOceania always justifies the means.
I’m collecting panoceania , so the hexas sniper is the one for me this month, cracking sculpt, but I have to say, the myrmidon thingy is perhaps the nicest model released this time.
I love the Kameel remotes, but the legs look like they’re from a Nomad kit… I would have liked a little more originality in those releases !
That said, I love the Myrmidon officer. It should go very well with Achilles…

I’m actually a big fan of how the legs are from the Nomad designs. It keeps them much more in line with the fluff, where it states that Nomads often sell their designs and services as mercenaries to other factions (primarily Ariadna and Haqqislam).
Oooo… can we name her Briseis? 😉
Sin-Eater looks like he’s about to do the Scarface, “Say hello to my little friend.”
Absolutely love the Haqqislam remote.
What’s this, BoW showing prices? Good idea mates.
The models are great as always. Thats one thing I can count on, Ininity’s quality is top tear.
>but the legs look like they’re from a Nomad kit
Spend millions developing your own chassis, or buy one from friendly nation…obviously Haqq government is spending sensibly. I kinda like you can see actual economical choices a nation would make in the miniatures. Just like every chain rifle is the same regardless of nation, because they’re all made on license from YJ.
Anyway, I really like the Officer, but the Remotes just have to be the best this month.
Great releases as always, the Kameel is an astonishing model and I really love how Myrmidons helmet opens as is evident on the Officer model.
I’ve always liked the look of the Nomads. My buddy plays Haqq and is always trying to get me into this game.
Do it: you won’t regret it 😉
Yes.
A hundred times YES.
Go for it !

Where’s my Kazak 4-tonne TAG?! >:(
Kidding, of course. All the releases look great (as usual). Makes me wanna play every faction… but I’ll have to stick with my McLellan-tartaned Cales for the nonce. 😉
The Kameel Remote looks awesome. Completely out of keeping with the ragtag, months-in-the-field Haqqislam team I was slowly, frugally putting together… guess I’ll have to make a bigger team.
