Armorcast Goes Up in Smoke
April 1, 2013 by dracs
Armorcast have released a new accessory that will send your machines up in a plume of smoke.
As you can see from the image, this plume of smoke is really well sculpted and will create a great sense of life to the model, in the case of machinery like war jacks and vehicles.
It would be interesting seeing how this looks fully painted and I for one would like to hear what painting techniques you might use for a an exhaust plume like this.
Can you download it from Steam?
Might also be useful if you play Smog.
I am mist-ified by your wit…
Guys you’re fogging up the screen with these puns
Let it be, Sam; where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Unless it’s all just smoke and mirrors. In which case it’ll blow over.
Oh crud! more plastic model crack………sigh, I’ll be a junkie for life, can’t kick it 🙁
I really like the effect, but how on earth are you going to store/transport it (attached to a Warjack)?
The Warjack won’t be working when it is back in the box therefore it won’t be making smoke with the engine turned off.
So you should be okay.
😛
So what you’re saying is, if something knocks the jack into water terrain (extinguishing the boiler), you basically have to buy and paint a new set?
It might actually be cool to magnetise them to show which Jacks are active , but I don’t actually think the boilers get put out often enough in game to warrant the effort for game admin alone.
No, but it would still be pretty damn cool.
It’s not often that we see conversion parts for Warmachine. Nice little touch that can make it look all the more dynamic.
You can also paint it green and get a giant broccoli sprouting from the jack’s pipes.
