Those cheap Inquisitors seem to be very popular as HQ choices at the moment... but what do the guys think of a list based on the silver-clad saviours of the Imperium.

the 3 henchmen could be for walking into the wall of death before you send in your pricey terms
Isn’t a Nemesis warding stave ap3 not ap4? Aren’t Nemesis force weapons classed as unusual force weapons so wielders initiative and strength ap3, FAQ says that halberds don’t go to I1 like an axe as they are unusual. I was talking to a guy the other day and he was saying the same, they were ap4 like a regular force stave +2 str and concussive. I can see why that could be appealing if you have a 2++, especially against a high initiative model.
correct a warding stave is users str ap3 as its an unusual force weapon the only exception among the nemisis weapons is the daemon hammer
Re: Psybolt ammo on page 62 of the GK codex under Psybolt ammo, the second paragraph list the weapons that can use Psybolt ammo. The Psycannon isnt there, only bolters (all types), autocannon and assault cannon. So no str 8 Psycannons.
i decided to cook up a similar list using dreadknights equipped with personal teleporters for that extra speed…
2 ORDO MALLEUS INQUISITORS 220 pts
– terminator armour
– psycannon
– psyker (mastery level 1)
– divination
10 GREY KNIGHT TERMINATORS 450 pts
– 2 psycannons
– 2 daemon hammers
10 GREY KNIGHT TERMINATORS 450 pts
– 2 psycannons
– 2 daemon hammers
10 GREY KNIGHT TERMINATORS 470 pts
– 2 psycannons
– 2 daemon hammers
– justicar with warding stave
NEMESIS DREADKNIGHT 205 pts
– personal teleporter
NEMESIS DREADKNIGHT 205 pts
– personal teleporter
TOTAL: 2000 points
Yep psycannons are only str 7 psybolt ammo has no effect. All nemesis weapons count as unusual force weapons so are only ap3, except the hammer which states its exactly the same as a thunder hammer plus force
if you field a Tech Marine then do so attached to a Purgation Squad so whilst using a conversion beamer he also gets Astral Aim, this means 72″ range no los required…
sometimes i dont know if they know or remember about the book but most eldar stuff has int 6. so if you have terminators going at int 6 not 5 with stre 5 and wounding toughness 2 models then hmm you have yourself a worthy attribute. not everyone can take terminators and for those armies that can take hordes of terminators then just shoot them to death. I can see the idea behind the combination of cc weapons. hammer you get 3 on charge 2 stationary and well it doesnt make sense to always go last. going first and last… Read more »
Guys i recommend a glance over the faq as you seem to of made assumptions about the nemisis force weapons that are incorrect…. also i think he has taken the xenos inquisitors and techmarine for the rad grenades which are simply brilliant although i agree a psycannon purgation squad is bad but free incinerators? so 4d3 wall of death you guys are so keen on yes please!
Also the greatsword is great again i reccomend reading the faq as it says it allows the extra attack re rolls at str 10
had to double check the weapon rules in the rulebook, but yeah, you’re right
Alrighty, this is my take on the Inquisition list for 1850.
