That's right... after weeks of poking, prodding and ear bending Andy has got Darrell to let slip the full rundown on what he takes to the old folks home.
What do you guys think, can you beat the list that's savaged granny's from north to south in Ireland....?

awesome cheesy list. I would like to see it in a battle report to put theory into action.
I have a challenge for you, can you guys make a cheesy Chaos marine list that isn’t this standard list:
Daemon prince x2
Plague marines in rhinos
Obliterators
And fielding this would provide a fun game for your opponent…. how?
No wonder tournaments have such a lousy reputation on the internet…
You’re kinda missing the point. This is a tournament list, it’s not meant to be fun, it’s meant to win games.
Does it do that? Yes. Well there you go then.
Is it fun to play? No, not really, which is why I always ask my opponent whether he wants to play against a fluffy but hard list or a tournament list; in which case they get to face this list (Or rather, one that’s very similar)…
“it’s not meant to be fun”.
Says it all really. Who the heck wants to waste their time on “not fun”?
Truly I am mystified by the whole tournament shenanikins thing. Really, what’s the point?
I mean I get the point of playing a game and trying to win. But if winning only comes at the expense of a dull game, the seriously, something is broken!
And my contention is that it is the attitude of the players, not the rules…
Yep that’s pretty cheese. I faced something like this in a tournament and it all went to hell for me when he seized initiative.
Jaws is done on statts given on stattline not modified stattline due to thunderhammer.
Everyone I know plays it Darrell’s way, I can’t find anything in the Codex, FAQ or rulebook to contradict it. Did I miss something?
/me throws spacefrisian an ale for throwing questions his way.
@spacefrisian Do you have a rule quote for that? As far as I can tell it doesn’t mention using the unmodified statline anywhere in the rule. All it says is you have to roll equal to or under the value of the characteristic, and unsaved wounds from THs reduce the I value to 1 for the turn.
In the Q+A it says if Arjacs Hammer when thrown as a shooting attack will reduce the effected model to Int 1.
That’s the only way as regular hammers only effect combat.
he probably enjoy it more having the same list against him lol
Well based on previous Daily Tips videos cheesyness of the Darrell’s army was to be expected.
Ive got a list it’s not particularly cheesy but what do u think
Swarmlord
Tyrant guard
Tyrant guard with lashwhip
Tyranid prime with lash bone sword and death spitter

lol my necrons wouldn’t fancy facing that 😛
10 space marine veterans in a drop pod with the ap3 rounds in turn 1 behind his longfangs and they are toast.
Actually not that effective for a couple of reasons. Lets say the Long Fangs are in cover for a 4+(which they always will be) You will kill an average of 3 long fangs, but will lose one of your own guys to gets hot! The other problem is cost, you’re sending at least 280pts of stuff to kill 140pts worth. Not really a good trade, given next turn the surviving rockets will wipe out another couple of sternguard., and any other rockets etc will wipe out a bunch of your expensive guys.
The big question must be
“Since Darrel isn’t World 40k Champion which lists have caused him the most problems?”
why dont you give the 3rd wolf guard pack’s razor back to the first long fangs pack?
deepstrike Grand master mordrak annd 10 termies with 2 incinerators behind his long fangs and shoot them to hell 🙂 then go on a rampage with them and carve up the rest of his army.
that sounds like one of the least efficient ways to use points to me. Especially with the las-plas razorbacks around…
The suggestions for beating Darrel’s list would make for a good series of videos, set up a typical tournament table, set up two armies and test each solution – not in a full game, just a turn each, and see if the solution is effective 🙂
I guess Darrel has trouble facing DA Deathwing, those guys just laught of missiles. Seen the same list as Darrel used (with even better cheese) fail against Deathwing.
And dont spoil ale again.
i count 15 missiles and 2 las cannons not 17 missiles
I played against something this but it was like 12 missile launchers. Deep strike works well against it but you have to be right on the money with deep strike. I pulled it off with grey knights because of servo skulls. Maybe blood angles can pull something like it?
There may only be 15 missile launchers, but 2 of them are CML’s which are heavy 2, therefore creating 17 misssile launchers, or rather, just 17 missiles a turn.
im confused as to whats in the third long fang pack its 2 missile launchers, 2 lascannons but what is the last guy equipped with?
sorry for the double post but I also noticed ( if I did my math right) that this list only adds up to 1773 out of 1850. why waste so many points?
I thought the TH and JoWW-combo didn’t work anymore because of the FAQs?
Cheers
if i personaly ran a club or came up against you i would refuse to play against you. Space wolves are the most powerfull army and were clearly never play tested the fact you openly admit to just camping and spamming the most op units utterly disgusts me. And yes i know you are free to do what you want with the rules gw wrote and the models you brought but SPACE WOLVES NEED BALANCING, cheap devestators that can split fire what genius thaught that up….
