Band Together With Your Anglo-Danish Brothers From Saxon Miniatures
January 4, 2016 by brennon
Working as both an Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Danish Warband for use in your Dark Age games Saxon Miniatures have put together a new set of metal miniatures for you. Will you be raising your spears to support your local Lord?
You can open the image to take a closer look at the miniatures you get but this includes a Warlord, a set of Ceorls making up the basis of your warband and then eight armoured warriors to work as huscarls protecting your warlord from harm.
Could this become your new project for the beginning of the year?

These are totally amazing and I think Saxon Minis make some of the best Dark Age figures out there
These are nice, but there’s just so many of these out there right now it’s hard to stand out.
Being done by the same guy that set up GB they should fit nicely beside them
These plus GB plus Musketeer give a good range to cover most of the Dark ages
Lovely miniatures, highly recommended!
These are 28mm, right? They look great for RPG soldiers, KoW KoM, or Frostgrave.
Yep, 28mm.
If you prefer plastic the Gripping Beast Saga starter sets are a good option for similar purposes.
Gripping beast offers more minis at a better price, but it’s hard to tell from the online images how good the sculpts and casts are. The metal minis in the article look like they might be better.
picked up the Viking warband just before christmas and they’re a lovely set of minis, if I get stuck into Saga then these Saxons could well be a future purchase. Well worth the money in terms of sculpt and casting quality.
nice, verses Vikings?
I like them.
I guess what I’m thinking is not going to surprise anyone so no prizes for guessing correctly.
They’re fantastic!
