Midday, the flowers are blooming over the fields and the summer sky is blistering. Lady Warren stares out into the distance awaiting his Prince charming, knitting his beautifully grown locks into a lengthly size, strewn across the room, it’s size is only comparable by it’s beauty. Peacefully unaware of who may be listening. “Where, oh where, is my Knight in shining armour?” he cries out… Meanwhile, down in the shady tavern. Sitting in the corner covered in shade, bacon grease dripping from his hemp-like beard, head shining in the candlelight, hears a feint call in the distance. Standing up, wiping… Read more »
@Warzan – Castle it is then, looks like we’re both building castles for Salute mate 😉
@warzan,
I’ve sent you an email about prepaint Confrontation minis 😉
Oh my lord . . . I still see Lloydoslavian grain silos set up in the background. 😀

Anyone interested in a castle or ten. No I don’t work for Debenhams I just found it on the Frostgrave Facebook page 🙂
Thanks for the link. Canuck here; I had no idea this store even existed.
I just ordered 6 of them.
STORM THE WALLS!
Ive just purchased my own castle for 10€ and hopefully a second one for 8€. ebay in germany is covered with this. really hoping you keep me updated on how you put all of this together.
Seeing all that castle stuff reminds me that I have got a couple of games workshop mighty fortresses up in the loft.
You could have giants that want to eat the people inside the walls, you could call them something like “titans”, maybe even have one that is larger than the others and skinless….just an idea, just an idea!
I like the idea but I don’t like the plaster treatment. what if you saw off the crenelations from the inside wall and glue them onto the back of the front facing ones on the outside wall, a bit of filler or even a strip of plasti card over the cut and treat the spacers exactly as you were planning would look better in my opinion
A mage or wizard inside the castle could repair one wall section per tern, it might add something to the longevity of the game and a bit of tactical depth
YES! this is going to be great fun!
looks good guys.
The carport is clearly where the castle lord parks his dragon mount
Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
As to the Confrontation minis I believe Miniature Market in the US still has a decent stock of some of them fairly cheap, .75usd and up brand new. I don’t know if that still to much and shipping and all but it might be worth checking out.

Steampunk it! Have a platform between the joins in the fort for the airships. Have moveable walls on tracks/wheels to fill any gaps (saw something like that for real in France – very cool). I wish i had the time to go to Salute this year, otherwise id love this challenge. Good luck designers 🙂
Miniature Market has had lots in the past, but be careful. Shipping to Canada was HUGE, so I doubt that it’ll be reasonable to the UK. 🙁
Looks initially good, how are you going to stabilize the structure between itself? big base or magnets between wall sections?
Physically been in Salute is always the biggest deterrent in these game designer challenges.
Yeah it is a pity that, but we want the designer to experience the day too 🙂
I think the store I passed through in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada called comic readers had some starter sets and a bunch of the unpainted minis.

I also think the Sentry Box in Calgary, Alberta, Canada had some. They list their stock online.

How about putting the castle other moon and have it’s a lair for space nazis and have Martians attacking it with robots
love the vlogs, and the castle idea. i’m thinking might try and use it for Castle Wolfenstein (esp with the host of zombie minis coming out..nazi zombies anyone?)
We all know where this castle is going to be located, don’t we ?
In Lloydoslavia of course!
Ye good old days when men were men and big scaly lizards from up yonder were still called dragons …
Yep it has to be… Lol
oh might have just gone and bought two of them from Debenhams for HATE (Hackney Area Tabletop Enthusiasats) frostgrave and other games.
Thanks lads..
I think the biggest sacrifice the games designer has to make is being at Salute but being busy all day and not having an opportunity to look around! Although I suppose if you’re skint, maybe that’s a good thing…
For the tower. Use that gap to make a wrap around ledge. So archers can attacked the flyers.
Plus you could even add ballista’s at the corners.
Maybe cut a door into the walls
