WotC Announce Two Portable Campaign Cases Coming Summer
April 29, 2022 by fcostin
Wizards of the Coast has announced that is a new boxed-up product underway: Campaign Cases. Which will aid in a Dungeon Master's planning and output when running a role-playing title. With some easy transportation too!
There are two different dungeon-aiding products announced, ready to head to our tabletops for July 19th. Which includes a big huge box of terrain and creatures to bring further depth to your Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
Terrain Campaign Case Contents // Dungeons and Dragons
The first box to be announced is the Campaign Box: Terrain. This provides an easy layout of two-dimensional maps and environments, with 30 interlocking tiles and a large foldable map. There are two different sides to the tiles, on one side containing a grassy terrain and the other knee-deep in snow. There are also a ton of reusable cling stickers in different sizes to help label up your tiles for specific in-game details.
Creatures Campaign Case Contents // Dungeons And Dragons
The second box announced was the Creatures Campaign Case, which comes with 64 customizable tokens and will become home to the 159 full-colored and illustrated creature clings. Coming in small, medium, and large (depending on how big said creature is!) and can be reused. You will be able to switch and change over tokens with ease when placing a fantastical creature on the table.
All wrapped in a beautiful and sturdy carry case, there has been no mention of price as of yet. However they are set to go up on pre-order soon, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for all the adventure you need in one box, I just hope they are not too expensive. I wonder what campaign case might be next...

Looks and sounds like a great game.
Depending on price the creature case might be worth having.
Not overly fond of 2D disks for monsters and in the olden days of the paper Dungeon magazine they gave away loads of those creature disks in cardboard and they’re still sitting on punchcards in the cupboard. Same with the ones from FFG Star Wars starter sets.
As for price… this is WotC… so can expect a high price probably.
I already have the Loke Battlemats Battle Board, and vinyl clings. My RPG.net review:

I’d rather see full-sized maps or boards and miniatures for D&D adventures, at least the starter sets. The D&D Adventure System is a missed opportunity for WotC, who should have released D&D adventures that specifically used miniatures and game tiles from these sets.
