Wizards Bring The Rune Scribe To D&D As Prestige Class
October 7, 2015 by brennon
Wizards Of The Coast have started looking at the future of classes within Dungeons & Dragons. As well as work on Psionics they have also put together the first playtest pack for Prestige Classes and the Rune Scribe...
The Runepriest was a class that existed in the later Player's Handbooks from Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition (and before of course) and, as you can see above, allowed you to bind the power of runes into weapons and armour to cast your spells.

Each of the Prestige Classes is going to have prerequisites as you might imagine and you will have to undertake some specific quest or task in order to unlock its secrets. The Rune Scribe gets access to the secrets of runes you find out on your adventures and can unleash them on your foes.
The class is very interesting and decided more complex than other 'spellcasters' out there. There's a reason that it is a sought after avenue of progression!
Will you be giving this a go?
