New Weekly D&D Stream Announced With Chris Perkins As DM
February 18, 2016 by brennon
Wizards of the Coast have announced that to celebrate the coming of Curse of Strahd they are going to be running a new Dungeons & Dragons Live Stream with some prominent members of the geek community.
The Dungeon Master will be Chris Perkins who has previously taken the reigns of Acquisitions Incorporated. Now he is turning his hand to looking after (and killing) Anna Prosser Robinson, Commander Holly, Projared and Nathan Sharp. You can find out more about each of these individuals over on the page linked above.
With the rise of shows like Critical Role and High Rollers it's becoming clear that these D&D live sessions are a pretty big deal and people want to tune into them! Every Tuesday from March 8th you'll be able to catch them between the hours of 4pm and 6pm PST.
Will you be keeping an eye out for this?

You know what, there are a load of these starting up for D&D, but what if you want a decent system? or you’re just tired Fantasy. I don’t normally do this, but I’m going to shill my own channel here.

My group and I have done many systems, with the Fantasy flight 40K ones being popular, We also have a great Star Wars game going on, and a new Rogue Trader starting soon.
I’ll take a look!
I don’t really care what system or if its Fantasy or not I’ll watch it because its Chris Perkins
Not surprised as everyone seems to be jumping on the Critical Role band wagon. Also chris was hanging out with the Critical Role gang a few weeks ago and I think that gave him the mojo to go for it.
🙂
I have been listening to RPG podcasts for a while. I actually don’t like the ones by Geek and Sundry that are overproduced and full of over acting. Role Playing Public Radio have been doing it for years and are super experienced. They do Eclipse Phase, Cthulhu and a couple of others. I love all their personalities. Here’s one of their best: http://actualplay.roleplayingpublicradio.com/2011/06/systems/ore-system/a-dirty-world/a-dirty-world-wages-of-sin/
I agree with you about the G&S RPG shows run by Will Wheaton. I really enjoy the Critical Roll show since it’s recorded live and you get to see the raw D&Ding. The GM and players are all voice actors so there is a lot more “acting” than a typical campaign but I think it enhances the game rather than detracting from it.
