March 30, 2021 by brennon
Warchief Gaming, run by ex-Blizzard's Chris Metzen and Mike Gilmartin, has announced that they are bringing the world of Lawbrand to the tabletop as part of a new 5th Edition campaign setting supplement. Auroboros: Coils Of The Serpent will be an introduction to this brand new Fantasy realm.

Worldbook: Lawbrand and Coils Of The Serpent is an extension of the campaigns run by Metzen back in the 80s and 90s and so there is a rich amount of lore for the team to draw on. Ryan Collins has also been added to the team to help add a new texture to the world and really bring it to life.
As you can see by the artwork that was previewed during the announcement, there is certainly a distinct quality to it and there is a big team of artists working in the background to add much more. Here, in this video, is more information from Metzen on what's coming...

It's really awesome seeing the world that Metzen and his friends created back then being brought back to life. The world of Lawbrand sounds very interesting indeed and should be fun to run adventures in. It also looks like we're getting new Races, Class tweaks and more for you to play around with as part of the 5th Edition mechanics.
The power of the Auroboros influencing the way you play the game and tap into its power is an intriguing concept and should make for fun roleplaying moments as well as cinematic fights.
Watch out for the Kickstarter by Warchief Gaming going live on the 20th of April!

This is sounding good.
WoW’s storyline developed by the reindeer was fantastic, even though I don’t bother with 5E the background should be fascinating in itself
This is definitely on the radar for several of our gaming group – Metzen’s name being attached is enough to at least pique interest. Depending how the pledges look, it might be the first game that actually gets us to be organised enough to put in a group order. Keen to see what they say on the page and for more details about the world’s selling points.
