Here is the introduction to this world of horror and monsters...

"Welcome to the Mythic North – northern Europe of the nineteenth century, but not as we know it today. A land where the myths are real. A cold reach covered by vast forests, its few cities lonely beacons of industry and enlightenment – a new civilization dawning. But in the countryside, the old ways still hold sway. There, people know what lurks in the dark. They know to fear it."

...and it sounds absolutely awesome. I love the idea of these small communities which are effectively locked away from the world by vast swathes of wilderness where anything could be hiding. It is the prime location for mysteries, murder, monsters and the evolution of folklore.

Included within the Core Rulebook you'll find...

• Ten ready to use archetypes let you create a character in minutes – or use the included life path tables and let the dice decide.
• Quick and flavorful rules for combat, investigations and horror.
• Rules for developing the player characters’ headquarters during campaign play.

This sounds like a great way to dive into something a bit different from your standard dungeon crawl. I have always been a fan of investigations and solving mysteries at the tabletop and I think this would offer this in spades but with a Nordic twist.

I love everything about the production and presentation of this game. Nordic Folklore in the shape of Viking myth and legend has always been fun to delve into and it's fascinating seeing just how much of that translated over into the history of the region that followed. Introducing an element of science and the fascination with what makes things tick alongside the old world and its shadowy denizens sound like a great mix.
