Terrinoth Sourcebook On The Way For FFG’s Genesys
January 10, 2018 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games has announced that there is a Sourcebook coming up for the Genesys Role-Playing System that focuses in on the Realms Of Terrinoth as their Fantasy setting of choice.
The world of Terrinoth is home to the likes of RuneWars, Runebound and Descent so many people will immediately be familiar with it. This book expands on what was presented in the Core Rulebook for Genesys with new races, skills, options and more as well as craft weapons, armour and even delve into a bit of alchemy too.
You'll also find that the book expands on magic too with plenty of new ways for you to implement this in your games, giving your spellcasters a little bit extra.
The lands of Terrinoth will also be explored in more detail, giving you a deeper understanding of place when it comes to your campaigns going forward. It sounds like it's going to be well worth the read.
I have read through the Core Rulebook for Genesys and it does seem like a solid system which you can build on for your adventures on the tabletop. The narrative edge and the toolkit produced by the system really is an inviting one.
Will you be picking up this Sourcebook?

I have a question for anyone who has this game. Are the dice the same as the Starwars rpg dice? I know it uses the same system but a brief look at one of the Genesys dice packs gave me the impression they were different colors and symbols from the star are dice.
I have a set for Star Wars and a set for Genesys, the symbols are different.
sounds an interesting world.
it’s going to be interesting to see them grow many branches from a single trunk.
i have a feeling this system will become more and more tempting as the library grows
Their fantasy setting is a solid choice for the first expansion. Bring in the Runewars or Descent players who fancy a bit of RP. It’s helped by the fact that traditionally, fantasy settings are the most common for RPGs. I can easily see them releasing Android (although the Worlds of Android book covers a lot of the background) and Twilight Imperium books next to give a range of settings and genres for the Genesys rules, which will certainly help the system gain a footing in the (slightly) overcrowded RPG market. Perhaps an Arkham Horror setting book too, although that has… Read more »
Can’t wait for both the Arkham and Android books – going to be awesome 😀
I’d love both, but whereas I think an Android was is a given, an Arkham one might not be. But we can definitely hope!
That seems interesting. I wasn’t aware that they also have RPG that takes place in same world as those mentioned games.
They recently (like very late last year) released the Genesys rulebook. This is a generic ruleset based on the system used for their Star Wars games that can be used for any setting or type of game. The Realms of Terrinoth book is the first expansion for the generic ruleset and contains the rules needed to play games in teh same world as Descent and Runewars (and the others).
So, basically, they didn’t have an RPG set in that world, but will once this comes out!
