Steamforged Games has added another of their Epic Encounters sets to their webstore this week. You can now pre-order the Hive Of The Ghoul-kin and Barrow Of The Corpse Crawler for use in your tabletop roleplaying games.

As with all of the Epic Encounters sets, Hive Of The Ghoul-kin has been designed so that it can be used as a standalone roleplaying adventure using D&D. It could also be woven into a larger campaign if you prefer.

You get everything that you need in the set including fifteen miniatures and an adventure book that has been designed to guide you through setting up this new quest. Dare you take on the deadly Ghoul-kin in their rotten burrow?

The Epic Encounters sets are great options for Dungeon Masters. I really like that they come with everything that you'd need (bar the D&D rules of course) to get stuck into a fun scenario on the tabletop. They take the weight off the Dungeon Master's shoulders and also stop you from having to hunt for dozens of different miniatures from different creators.

Barrow Of The Corpse Crawler

Once you've battled your way through the Ghoul-kin, you can then face off against a big boss. The companion Epic Encounters set to the one above is Barrow Of The Corpse Crawler!

Again, this has been designed as a standalone encounter or an optional extra once you've tackled all the Ghoul-kin. I do like the idea of pairing these up and introducing the classic "boss at the end of the dungeon" feel to your adventures. The Corpse Crawler is also a great looking miniature...

There are now fourteen of these Epic Encounters sets for you to pick up and add into your games of 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. That could easily be a good few months of big adventures for your roleplaying group. Considering how busy everyone is nowadays, that's maybe even a couple of years' worth of adventures!

It would give you a good chance to paint the miniatures up which is a plus! I think that would be a good way to approach this. Get folks signed up for a session, buy an Epic Encounters pairing and then get everything painted up for an evening's entertainment.

Are you going to be picking these sets up?
