Epic Encounters: Local Legends is set to go live today on crowdfunding, however, Steamforged Games have not been on the quiet side for what potential players can expect from the campaign!  Quite a lot of you spoke of your interest in the new Epic Encounters range, and to prepare you for the upcoming campaign, they have sent out their subscribers a sneak peek into all of the pledges.

Epic Encounters Local Legends Coming Soon // Steamforged Games

If you have never got involved with an Epic Encounters set before, players are provided with a box choc-a-bloc with adventure and inspiration for any Dungeons & Dragons 5E crusades. Containing everything you need to set off onto a new fateful journey, Epic Encounters will be bringing their newest range to the forefront, showcasing some small-town legends. Whilst adventurers stop off at the local tavern, keeping their ears open for their next contract.

With a whirlwind of pledges to choose from, plus a cheeky sneak peek at some Kickstarter Exclusives to celebrate the start of some Local Legends. Players both physically and digitally will be able to get involved!

Digital Pledge // Epic Encounters: Local Legends Upcoming Kickstarter

There are four different pledges in total. With options for players both physical and digital - there's already a bank of myths and legends to follow. The 'Digital Pledge' will contain the full 120-page Adventure Book as a PDF, this will already be stocked with 10 ready-to-play RPG taverns for £17.

Only The Taverns Pledge // Epic Encounters: Local Legends Upcoming Kickstarter

If you are keen on a bit of tavern hopping and pub crawling, the 'Only The Taverns Pledge' will contain a wealth of adventurous content, including the 120-page PDF Adventure Book, a 16-page Encounter book, 10 Minigame Fliers, an 80-page Tavern Book, an 80 page NPC Book, 30-page "Pub Crawl" Book, 10 different Tavern maps and 60 NPC cards for £37.

Core Pledge // Epic Encounters: Local Legends Upcoming Kickstarter

The third pledge will bring even more goodies to the table, with the 'Core Pledge', which I anticipate will be the most popular from the categories. Containing all of the above from the Only The Taverns Pledge, but adding 2 Double-Sided Encounter Maps, 60 NPC cards and 14 different miniatures costing pledgees £66.

All-In Pledge // Epic Encounters: Local Legends Upcoming Kickstarter

The final pledge, the largest pledge - is the 'All-In'. We're looking at a chonky £131 bundle, full to the brim with adventuring goodies. Not only will players get their hands on the above prior pledges, but they will have access to a bucketload of 38 different Miniatures, a toal of 5 Double-sided maps, a set of Polyhedral Dice and a DM Screen. Plus access to the Kickstarter exclusive minis - Efreeti and 5 Fire Elemental miniatures.

There was a preview of these Kickstarter Exclusive miniatures, but if you want your mitts on them, you will have to be All-In to adventure with these legends.

I would love to see what the miniatures actually look like, rather than the renders. This range from what I have seen so far seems to be bursting with fantastical character. I'd hate to see any of the detail lost! I am really looking forward to seeing the different local lurkers! Well... without squinting and looking at the pledge images!

Steamforged Games said there is quite a whopping discount on the Kickstarter prices, so if you are keen on getting involved in the Local Legends festivities early on, you will be saving yourself some buck before it heads off into retail.
