Spellweaving Mages Added To Dark Sword Miniatures’ Webstore
March 6, 2015 by brennon
Dark Sword Miniatures have added four new releases to their Fantasy line-up and they're pretty much all spellcasters. See what you think of these spellweaving women...
These first two are the Female Warrior Mage with Sword and Female Mage with Staff sculpted by Jeff Grace and Bobby Jackson respectively. Both are awesome looking and I reckon they would be perfect for Elmore-style role-playing heroes and you'd have a great time working on some interesting cloth painting. Talking of painting, awesome glow effects on that sword!
In the second batch you have a simple Female Mage and the Female Assassin that we checked out not long ago in a preview from Dark Sword. These have been sculpted by Patrick Keith and Bobby Jackson and both look great once again. The Female Assassin is pretty special I think and while it's a pretty standard 'female warrior' I think they did a really great job.
What do you like from this batch of releases?

Good work, and not over-the-top slutty. I’ll run them by the girls in our gaming group.
Awesome pain t on that warrior mage’s sword. I love the blue-green glow on her legs and on the ground, it actually looks like that sword is GLOWING. 🙂
If you like that, @oriskany , you should go to Pinterest and type in ‘Warhammer miniatures.’ The pics on there make me want to ditch my paintbrush.
google OSL or object source lighting, there are tuts and examples a plenty
They are all amazing paint jobs. The third one is far and away my favourite. That outfit could be pulled off in a “non gamer” setting.
they all look good.
Those are some great looking sculpted chicks.
