Sentinel Comics RPG Starter Kit – Introduction

We're joined by Paul and Adam from Greater Than Games today to talk about the Sentinel Comics RPG Starter Kit.
This is a new RPG game based on the Sentinels of the Multiverse comic world. With the starter kit, RPG groups can get to grips with the rules and simple mechanics through the six pre-built characters.

On the character design for that hero above (Legacy?) – dude, if you’re gonna cosplay as Power Girl have the balls to go the whole hog and have the boob window. :p So, putting the three levels of villains into perspective: • The Minions are the bank robbers that the hero foils in the first two or three pages of an arc. • The middle tier are the C-list villains like Kite-man or Condimant King. • And the top tier are the actual supervillains. I found in Supers games , you have to have the ‘buy in’ from all players , don’t assume that all will have your knowledge or love of supers comics , one might have only seen Batman or The Logan movie and want to play a dark hero , fine , go with it , but there level of suspension of belief may be lots less than yours. I think with film like the glut from Marvel recently , its a good thing , play them as ‘lesser’ marvel heros , swap in items like the chitari invasion or have… Read more »
You need ‘buy in’ from all players in every genre.
It’s hard to do horror when there is that one clown in the group …
Even basic dungeon crawls needs players who want something from that dungeon.
So these starter heroes are totally not (gender swapped) clones of known heroes from certain comic book publishers, right ?
