Return To Castle Ravenloft & Meet Strahd In New D&D Adventure
January 19, 2016 by brennon
It looks like Dungeons & Dragons adventurers are going to be heading back to Castle Ravenloft in their next adventure called The Curse Of Strahd. Prepare the holy water and wear a proper gorget when you step into the cursed lands of this Vampire.
"Heroes from the Forgotten Realms and other D&D worlds can easily be drawn into Strahd’s cursed land. Once there, they must contend with the horrors of Barovia. Its people are melancholy, misshapen and grotesque, living in fear of the wolves and other creatures that serve Strahd’s evil will.
The only hope for the trapped adventurers is to heed the warnings of a mysterious fortune-teller named Madam Eva. Drawing random cards from her tarroka deck, she directs adventurers to search Strahd’s domain for artifacts and allies to help the master of Castle Ravenloft. That is, before he orchestrates your demise for his amusement and feasts on your terror."
The world of the Vampire and his/her lair has been greatly expanded within the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual so it's really fun to imagine what kind of twists and turns we'll see in this game. Gale Force Nine have also created the Tarroka Deck which Madam Eva uses in game.
This will help spice up and tweak your adventure where you will face off against different foes and uncover various artefacts which can be used to rid the land of Strahd for good. Or so you hope. Another classic source of adventure therefore returns to the tabletop later this year.
Will you be picking this up?
