R. Talsorian Games has shown off the cover for their upcoming The Witcher RPG which will take you into the world of Geralt Of Rivia to hunt monsters, choose your side during conflicts between mighty Empires and explore this epic Fantasy world.
The game is penned by the folks behind Cyberpunk and has had a lot of people very excited for a long time. The Witcher is a phenomenal world full of danger and intrigue...seriously...Westeros wishes it was this good.
I think it's going to be awesome seeing what options are available to players and yes, you can indeed be a Witcher in this world. The team actually put together a blog post talking about the struggle of making them work next to other players in the world HERE.
If you're interested in what the world of The Witcher is like this pair of trailers from CDProjekt Red pretty much sums it up...
...it's a very brutal world but a one inspired by amazing mythology and folklore from Eastern Europe.
Has that tickled your fancy?
Are you excited by the idea of this?

Sapkowski’s book series, and the games that follow on from them, are truly exceptional works of fantasy fiction, and the core conceit of the Witcher is brilliant – in a world afflicted by curses and monsters, you wouldn’t rely on heroes just coming along, or leave it to knights and barely trained soldiers to get themselves slaughtered. Essentially, Witchers are exterminators who deal with pests… Read more »
I pleased to see Talsorian Games still going. Thought they disappeared long ago
Mike Pondsmith has been working with CDProjekt on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. I am hoping to see a new edition of the Cyberpunk RPG in conjunction with the release of the computer game. Mike is also the creator of one of the best RPG’s of all time, Castle Falkenstein, which would make a great setting for a miniatures game.
It appears that the new Witcher RPG is a joint credit of Mike and his son Cody.
I might not be fan of The Witcher games (not my genre) but that does seem interesting.
I simply love the witcher. The books are fantastic and the games were great. Witcher 3 one of the best immersive games ever. Nice to see the rpg finally coming to life. I am still hoping to see some proper miniatures when the netflix series is on air 🙂
Ooh this game’s ment to be a beast fest.
I’ve been waiting for this. The dev diaries have been interesting to follow over the last couple of years but they’ve doubled up as the ultimate hype generators ?
