Paizo has offered up a chance for you to dive into a lifetime of Fantasy adventures at the tabletop with the Pathfinder Second Edition Beginner Box. Roleplaying has become bigger than ever during this period of lockdowns and isolation so maybe crack this out and give it a go?

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box - Paizo

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box // Paizo

This new box has been designed as an entry point for new players and comes packed with all sorts of goodies that can get you started in this hefty Fantasy roleplaying game.

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box Unboxing

Included within the box you'll find...

  • A solo adventure for new players
  • Four pre-generated character sheets, plus blank sheets for new hero creation.
  • Four sets of action cards, ensuring players know what their options are on their turns
  • A set of colour-coded dice
  • Double-sided Flip-Mat, plus over 100 sturdy cardboard pawns with plastic bases to represent your heroes, friends, and foes.
  • Menace Under Otari, an adventure for up to four players, introduces players to the town of Otari, located on the isle of Korthos near Absalom.

This all sounds like it hits the right spot for me when it comes to getting started with a roleplaying game. In a world where things are always busy, all the time, it's good to have avenues into tabletop games where a lot of the heavy lifting has been done for you, especially as a new player.

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box Contents - Paizo

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box Contents // Paizo

I like that the folks at Paizo have taken the time to consider what might be useful to beginners as they dive into a game. The reference cards should help the flow of the game more and the mat alongside that mass of pawns are a neat way to get you going beyond just the Beginner Box with your collection of "miniatures" for your games.

Are you tempted to give this a go?
