Onyx Path Stir Up The Restless Dead In God’s Own Country
October 7, 2017 by dracs
Onyx Path has released the latest of their Chronicles of Darkness: Dark Eras supplements. This time, we head back to post-war New Zealand in God's Own Country.
This supplement for Geist: The Sin-Eaters places players in post-World War 2 New Zealand, a country struggling with the massive cultural and technological changes of the time, now with added restless dead!
World War II is over and a new age of technology is coming, but a hidden storm threatens to overwhelm both the Maori and the European New Zealanders, flooding the world with the restless dead. The Bound is the last line of defence between a spirit-world gone mad and a sleepy island nation concerned with the advent of rock and roll and mourning their lost soldiers.
One of the good things about these Dark Era supplements is they haven't just gone for the big events one might normally think of when choosing to set a game in a historical period.
Instead, we get these often overlooked moments, which nonetheless have a huge impact on the people involved, an approach which, I believe, backs up Chronicles of Darkness focus on personal horror.
Do you think you will explore God's Own Country?

I backed the original Dark Eras Kickstarter, and the book is over 600 pages of supernatural historical goodness! There are some great little eras covered!
